Description
Hangcha CPDS13J, CPDS15J, CPDS16J, CPDS18J, CPDS20J 2006 Parts Catalog
If you are trying to keep a J-series Hangcha electric forklift running and you are ordering parts from a generic catalog, you are wasting time and money. I have dealt with plenty of aftermarket part lists that get the number off by one digit, and suddenly your transmission gear box has the wrong bearing. That is why I keep a copy of this original Hangcha CPDS13J, CPDS15J, CPDS16J, CPDS18J, CPDS20J 2006 Parts Catalog on the bench. It is 89 pages of factory illustrations and part numbers. No aftermarket reprints. Just the OEM documentation Hangcha approved for the J series forklifts.

Transmission Gear Box Breakdown
Every technician knows that the transmission gear box is the heart of the driveline. This catalog devotes pages 3 and 4 specifically to the transmission gear box (I) and (II). The exploded view on page 3 shows the main housing, input shaft, output shaft, and all the gears and bearings with callouts tied to OEM part numbers. If you have a whine or a hard shift, you can identify exactly which bearing or gear is listed before you even pull the unit. The second page (page 4) covers the opposite side with internal seals and snap rings. Without these factory diagrams, you are guessing at which bearing race goes where. I have seen too many transmissions ruined by wrong parts ordered from non-OEM sources.
What the 2006 Parts Catalog Actually Includes
Forty-seven figure-numbered sections, each covering a specific assembly. Counterweight, drive system, steering axle, overhead guard, chassis body, brake pedal, acceleration pedal, parking brake, oil pipes, pump device, control valve sections, steering oil pipe, electrical system (three separate figures for DC and AC controllers), battery box, lifting components, mast piping, side shifter, duplex and triplex mast systems, and more. The electrical section pages 34-36 show the wiring harnesses and controller layouts for both the CPDS13/15/16/18/20J (DC controller on page 42) and the CPDS13/15/16/18/20JD1 (AC controller on page 43). That kind of detail is not found in aftermarket catalogs.
7 Major Systems Covered
The drive system, steering system, chassis, braking, hydraulic control, electrical, and mast/lifting assemblies. Each system is further broken into sub-assemblies with their own figure numbers. For example, the control valve assembly is split into lift valve section, tilt valve section, and an attachment valve section (pages 29-31). If you need a spool or a spring for the tilt circuit, you can find the exact part number on the factory diagram. This catalog also includes optional parts on page 53 and several chain assemblies for the mast. No wasted pages, just the parts data you need to order correctly the first time.
Steering and Electrical System Diagrams
Steering axle assembly, steering device (I) and (II), steering gear (I) and (II), and the priority valve (page 12) are all illustrated. The electrical system has three pages covering the full wiring layout, plus specific pages for head lamps, combination lamps, and the meter panel. If you are troubleshooting a controller fault, the DC controller diagram on page 42 shows every connection and component inside the box. That is the level of detail that saves you from replacing a main controller when the problem is a bad relay.
Get the Right Part Number the First Time
Flip to any page and you will find the item number, description, applicable series, and page reference. The numbering system is consistent. Cross-reference with the OEM parts database using the numbers listed. For example, the lift cylinder sections (pages 51-52) give separate part numbers for left and right cylinders. On page 73, the side shifter cylinder is listed. The hydraulic line routing is shown on pages 56-57 for the mast piping. If you compare this to a third-party parts list that only gives a generic “lift cylinder” number without side specification, you can see why the factory catalog is the only reliable source. For context on the broader automotive parts industry, check out Automotive Industry Overview. For a comparison with internal combustion forklift systems, see Internal Combustion Engine.
Every part number in this catalog is verified by Hangcha.
If you work on multiple Hangcha J-series models, you will also want to look at related factory catalogs: Hangcha CPDS13-CPDS20JC1 Parts Catalog – 96-Page Factory Parts List covers a later revision with some different hydraulic valve groups. Hangcha J Series Parts Catalog – 94 Pages of Factory Specs is another variant for the same chassis with additional mast options. For larger capacity trucks, Hangcha CPCD120-160 Series 2011 Parts Catalog – 178 Pages OEM gives the same level of factory detail for the big diesel machines.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Does this parts catalog include torque specifications and service procedures?
- No. This is strictly a parts catalog – exploded diagrams and OEM part numbers. You need the separate service repair manual for torque values and disassembly steps.
- Will this catalog work for a CPDS20J built in 2010?
- This 2006 edition covers the J-series for model years around 2006. Later production may have component changes, especially in the electrical system (the AC controller page 43 applies only to the “D1” suffix). Always verify your serial number and controller type. The mechanical parts such as transmission and steering axle are likely identical across the J series.
- Are the diagrams large enough to read part numbers clearly?
- Each figure is a full-page line drawing with callout numbers. The part numbers are listed in the table below each figure with description and series applicability. You may need reading glasses for the small print, but it is all legible on screen or paper.
- What is covered under the transmission gear box section and how do I use it to order a replacement bearing?
- Pages 3 and 4 show the complete transmission gear box split into two views. On page 3 you get the main housing, input shaft assembly, output shaft, intermediate gears, and all bearings. Each bearing is listed by item number with an OEM part number. For example, the bearing for the input shaft will be identified as a specific ball bearing or roller bearing with its dimensions in the description column. You can take that part number directly to a Hangcha dealer or cross-reference it to a standard bearing manufacturer. The second view on page 4 adds the opposite side cover, seals, and snap rings. If you have a noise from the gear box, read the callouts, identify the likely failed bearing, and order the exact part. This avoids the common mistake of ordering a bearing that looks similar but has a different inner diameter or cage type.
Do not waste another afternoon chasing wrong part numbers. Access the Factory Manual now and keep your J-series Hangcha forklift running with genuine OEM data.
