Description

Still R70-16T, R70-18T, R70-20T 2016 Parts Catalog

Still R70-16T, R70-18T, R70-20T LPG Fork Truck Parts Catalog 2016 - 2256 pages OEM factory manual cover

If you are ordering parts for a Still LPG fork truck and you are not holding the OEM parts catalog in your hand, you are gambling. Every time you order a counterweight, a hood catch, or a floorplate assembly from an aftermarket list, you are betting that somebody copied the right revision. That is a losing bet. The Still R70-16T, R70-18T, R70-20T 2016 Parts Catalog is the factory document – 2256 pages, German/English/French/Italian – direct from STILL GmbH. It tells you exactly which part fits which serial range, which week of production, and which truck variant. I have spent 28 years chasing phantom parts numbers from third-party sources. This catalog stops the chase.

Look at the table of contents on page 2. You get the master index: Frame, Steering Axle, Gear Drive, Tyres, Accel.+Braking Contr., Steering System, Braking System, Electr. Installation, Add. Electrical Installation, Hydraulic System, Electric Motor System, Add. Hydraulics, Engine System, Mast, Plate, Fork, Mast Bearing, Neigzylinder, Attachment, Accessory. That is not a summary. That is the spine of the book. Each of those headings breaks down into subgroups with individual part numbers, quantities, and remark fields that tell you if the part is valid only from a certain week. Counterweight on a 1.6 t series truck is not the same counterweight as on a type 244A. This catalog has the distinction.

2256 Pages of Still Parts

Page count matters. A 50-page aftermarket booklet cannot cover 18 counterweight variants, 12 hood configurations, 9 floorplate assemblies, and 6 driver seat options with retrofit kits. This catalog does. It covers the R70-16T, R70-18T, R70-20T across all LPG fork truck models (ident-numbers 161059, R7077, R7078, R7079). Every page is a factory scan with Fig., Part-No., Qty., Description, Remark, and validity columns. Need the part number for the travel sender in a two-pedal control floorplate? It is in the floorplate section. Need the symbol plate for the MSG 20 joystick? It is under DRIVER (MSG 20) with armrest details from week 41, 2004. No guesswork.

Counterweight Variations: More Than Just Weight

Page 4 shows the counterweight breakdown. Series counterweights for 1.6 t, 1.8 t, 2.0 t – each with a separate line for “from week 40, 2003”. Then you get Carlsberg variant, type 244A, type 244AA, type 243A. If your truck has a Carlsberg counterweight and you order a standard series unit, it will not bolt up. The catalog tells you the exact part number for each. The remark column lists truck validity. You order once. That is the value of OEM documentation.

Does This Catalog Cover Your R70-16T, R70-18T, or R70-20T?

Check the Ident-Nr. on your truck nameplate: 161059, R7077, R7078, or R7079. If it matches, this catalog covers your machine. It includes every variant: series, Joystick, fingertip, series from week 26/2003, and so on. Hood assemblies, reservoir tanks, panels (series, pressure regulator, heater), floorplates (with/without signal switch, with/without heater, two-pedal control). The driver seat section alone covers ISRI 2300 (imitation leather, fabric, heater, BASF) and MSG 20 (imitation leather, fabric) with retrofit kits. If your truck has an ISRI 6000/516 fabric seat with a 4-pin connector, it is there. Page 2 gives you the road map.

Frame, Hood, Reservoir – Exact Exploded Views

The FRAME section on page 4 lists every welded component, counterweight, hood variant, wheel chock, reservoir, panel, floorplate, and driver seat. Each subheading matches the bookmark structure in the PDF. You click on “HOOD (series)” and you get the exploded drawing with part numbers for hood catches, hinges, and latches. Two separate entries for “HOOD CATCH” – one for series, one for from week 26, 2003. That is the level of detail you need to keep a 2016-vintage LPG forklift running. Aftermarket catalogs collapse those into one line and you end up with a catch that is 5 mm off.

Why Aftermarket Parts Lists Fail

Third-party parts lists renumber OEM parts to hide the source. They drop validity dates. They omit supersessions. I have seen a shop install the wrong steering cylinder because the aftermarket list did not show the change week. This catalog shows the factory part number exactly as STILL prints it. You cross-reference with your actual truck and you order the right part. STILL RC 40-16/18/20 Forklift Spare Parts Catalog is another OEM document that follows the same structure. If you work on multiple Still models, you want the factory parts catalog for each.

Forklift parts are not interchangeable by weight class. The R70-18T shares some frame components with the R70-20T, but not the counterweight. The catalog separates them. Look at the RESERVOIR section: three entries (RESERVOIR, RESERVOIR Joystick, RESERVOIR). Each with different part numbers. STILL R60-35/40/45/50 Electric Fork Truck Parts Catalog is a different platform entirely – do not confuse the LPG R70 with electric R60. The parts are not the same. STILL R60 Series Electric Fork Truck Parts Catalog is for electric trucks only.

For background on internal combustion engines in forklifts, see Internal Combustion Engine. The broader logistics industry is covered by Automotive Industry Overview. But for parts ordering, stick to the factory scan.

Does this catalog include torque specs or repair procedures?
No. It is a parts catalog – exploded views, part numbers, quantities, and validity. For repair procedures you need the service manual. But you cannot order the right seal without this parts catalog.
Can I use this catalog for a 2014 model year R70-20T?
Yes, but pay attention to the “from week” and “validity trucks” columns. This 2016 edition includes earlier production revisions. For example, counterweights have separate lines for “from week 40, 2003”. If your truck was built before that week, order the line without the week restriction. Check your truck’s build date on the nameplate.

Access the Factory Manual now and eliminate parts-ordering errors. 2256 pages of OEM data, direct from STILL. No reprints, no condensed versions. The PDF has OCR bookmarks so you jump to FRAME, MAST, ENGINE SYSTEM in one click. Get your shop running on factory data.
