Description

SAME Deutz-fahr AGROTRON 80 MK3, AGROTRON 90 MK3, AGROTRON 100 MK3, AGROTRON 105 MK3 Workshop Manual

I’ve seen guys tear down a transmission because they had a third-party manual with wrong torque specs. Waste of a Saturday and a clutch pack. This SAME Deutz-fahr AGROTRON 80 MK3, AGROTRON 90 MK3, AGROTRON 100 MK3, AGROTRON 105 MK3 Workshop Manual is the factory print. Period. If you are working on any of these tractors and you don’t have the OEM document on the bench, you are guessing. Guessing costs time, parts, and sometimes skin. The manual runs 784 pages and covers every system from the Power Shuttle transmission to the trailer braking air lines. I don’t care if you are a home garage guy or a dealer tech — you need the actual specs, not a reprint from some website that scanned a copy of a copy.

Standard Tightening Torques: The Difference Between a Seal and a Leak

Page 3 of this manual lays out the safety notes, but the torque section is where most people screw up. The Standard Tightening Torques chapter breaks down five categories: nuts and bolts, fittings, plugs, fittings with seal at 37°, and fittings for pipes with eye attachment. If you are replacing a hydraulic line on the AGROTRON 100 MK3 and you don’t know which torque class applies, you will get a drip. The manual also lists threadlockers, adhesives, sealants, and lubricants by part number. That is not in any aftermarket book. You need the exact Loctite spec for the clutch engagement solenoid valve — that is in here.

Transmission Power Shuttle – Internal Hydraulic System

Transmission work is where the money is lost if you rush. The manual devotes a full subsection to the Power Shuttle: main components, hydraulic system, gearbox components, main clutch, hydraulic distribution valve, and clutch engagement solenoid valve operation schematic. There is also a transmission electronic system schematic. If you have to replace the clutch on an AGROTRON 80 MK3, you will find the step-by-step removal procedure and the required tool list — including the special tools SAME Deutz-fahr specifies. Do not use a makeshift puller on the PTO shaft. The manual tells you exactly which tool to use. For the rear axle and PTO, page numbers are not listed here, but the section is complete with dimensional checks. For related models, see the SAME Deutz-fahr 110, 130 Workshop Manual – OEM Factory Specs and the SAME Deutz-fahr 80, 105 Workshop Manual – Hydraulic Inversor Specs.

Diagnosis Tools: All Round Tester and Serdia 3.5

You cannot properly diagnose the electronic control units without the All Round Tester kit and the Serdia 3.5 Level III software. The manual describes the tester, how to set the serial ports, select display language, and connect to the engine control unit (Deutz EMR2), transmission control unit, power lift control unit, and Infocenter 2 or 3. There is a section on connecting a portable computer with EDS EST45 software to the transmission control unit. If you are working on an AGROTRON 105 MK3 and need to calibrate the clutch pedal position sensor or the main clutch proportional solenoid valve, the procedure is in section 20.4.3. Don’t try to guess the calibration sequence — the manual has the actual steps from the factory. Understanding a standard Manual Transmission is helpful, but this is a different animal with electronic modulation.

What the 784 Pages Cover Beyond the Engine

People assume a workshop manual is just engine specs. This one covers the braking system with separate entries for hydraulic trailer braking (Italy version and Export version), air trailer braking (both versions), compressor, pressure limiting valve, and one-way and two-way trailer braking valves. The hydraulic front axle suspension section includes the control valve. The hydraulic diagram section shows both versions — with and without flow control on remote valves. Gear pumps for the ZF 7100 transmission, steering, and auxiliary services are all diagrammed. The auxiliary services control valve section breaks down the types, service control section, inlet manifold (CC version), and lift control valve section. For the larger chassis, refer to the SAME Deutz-fahr 1000 Workshop Manual – Factory OEM Engine Specs. And if you need to understand the basics of a Manual Transmission before diving into the Power Shuttle, it helps to have that background.

Braking System: Trailer Configurations for Italy and Export

If you are working on a tractor that came from a different market, the brake section saves you from ordering the wrong master cylinder. The manual distinguishes between Italy and export versions for both hydraulic and air trailer braking. The compressor and pressure limiting valve adjustments are covered. I have seen shops waste a day trying to bleed air from an export system using Italy specs — the manual prevents that. The threadlocker and sealant chart on the conversion factors page tells you exactly what to use on the brake line fittings. No guesswork.

Does this manual cover only the AGROTRON 105 MK3?
Yes.
Are the torque specs listed in Imperial units or metric?
The conversion factors section at the front of the manual provides a table to convert from metric to Imperial (ft-lb, in-lb, etc.). All specification data in the procedures is listed in Nm, but the conversion chart allows you to work in Imperial units. The manual itself is from SAME Deutz-fahr and uses the metric system natively — the conversion table is your bridge. If you need to torque a main clutch bolt to 120 Nm, that converts to roughly 88.5 ft-lb. The manual also gives you the exact tool requirements for each step, including torque wrenches with the correct range. Do not use an impact gun on the transmission control unit mounting bolts — the torque is 10 Nm (7.4 ft-lb).

Bottom line: if you are going to open up an AGROTRON 80 MK3, 90, 100, or 105 MK3, get the document that the engineers wrote. The OEM workshop manual from AutoRepairManuals is the only one with the original factory data, safety warnings, and step-by-step procedures that match the tractor on your lift.
