Description

SAME Deutz-fahr 215, 265 Workshop Manual

SAME Deutz-fahr 215, 265 Workshop Manual cover showing Agrotron models

You’re staring at an Agrotron 215 or 265 that’s leaking from every seal and the customer is watching. The aftermarket PDF you obtained last week gave you a torque spec for the rear axle that was off by 20 ft-lbs. That’s how you end up with a stripped thread and a pissed-off farmer. This SAME Deutz-fahr 215, 265 Workshop Manual is the factory document – 841 pages of OEM data that Deutz-Fahr Germany wrote for their own dealers. No aftermarket interpretation, no third-party guesswork.

Tightening Torques: Screws, Nuts, Fittings, and Plugs

Page 3 of the manual’s introduction tells you how the sections are organized. But the real meat is in the Tightening Torques section. Separate tables for screws and nuts, fittings, plugs, fittings with seal at 37°, and pipe eye attachments. If you’ve ever had a hydraulic fitting leak because you used standard bolt torque on a 37° flare, you know why this matters. The manual lists threadlockers, adhesives, sealants, and lubricants by SAME Deutz-fahr part numbers. You don’t have to guess which Loctite grade.

Does This Manual Cover the 2-Speed PTO Variant?

Yes. Section 10, subsection 1.4.2 specifically covers the 2-speed rear PTO. Two-speed PTO clutches, solenoids, and the engagement sequence are diagrammed. If you’ve got a 1-speed version, that’s covered too – subsection 1.4.1. The transmission section includes both the hydraulic system and the electronic control for the powershift. Manual Transmission fundamentals are assumed, but the manual gives you the SAME-specific valve and solenoid testing procedure.

Follow the Safety Precautions Before You Lift Anything

Page 5 of this manual includes the general safety rules. It states: ‘Do not use makeshift tools.’ Not just advice – it’s a rule. The lifting instructions cover wire ropes and slings. If you’re pulling a transmission out of a 265, you need to know where the lift points are. The manual spells out removal and refitting operations with safety in mind. I’ve seen guys skip this and drop a gearbox on their foot. Don’t be that guy.

SAME Deutz-fahr 215, 265 Workshop Manual: What You Get in 841 Pages

The table of contents alone is worth the access. Section 10 covers the transmission engine coupling (cush joint and fluid coupling), gearbox assembly (main components for 1-speed and 2-speed PTO), main clutch, hydraulic gearbox and shuttle control valve, powershift clutch engagement and solenoid valve operation, transmission electronic system, rear axle, rear PTO, braking system with trailer braking (hydraulic and air versions for Italy and export), hydraulic front axle suspension, front axle (ZF and Carraro), and hydraulic system including variable displacement pump, load sensing valve, pressure cut-off valve, gear pump, power steering, priority valve, and auxiliary services control valve. That’s one section. Section 20 covers diagnostics with the ART tester and SERDIA 3.5 Level III software, connecting to control units, programming ECUs, calibrating accelerator pedal, configuring transmission type, and a full alarm list for the Bosch electrohydraulic control valve.

Diagnostic Tools: Connecting the ART and SERDIA Software

If you’re working on the electronic system, you need to know how to connect the laptop with SERDIA 3.5 to the engine control unit. Section 20, subsection 2.2 shows the exact connection points for the ART to the HPSA and armrest control units. Section 4 covers renewal of engine control unit, reading and saving data, programming, and calibration of the accelerator pedal using SERDIA or ART. Manual Transmission diagnostics are also covered in the transmission control unit alarms. If you get a CANBUS alarm, subsection 5.7 lists the possible causes.

You can keep using aftermarket PDFs that guess the specs, or you can access the factory manual and know that every torque value came from SAME Deutz-fahr’s engineers. Access the factory manual from AutoRepairManuals and stop trusting third-party data.

What is the page count of this manual?
841 pages.
Does the manual include torque specs for the hydraulic front axle suspension?
Yes, the Tightening Torques section covers fittings with seal at 37° and pipe eye attachments, which are used throughout the hydraulic system including the front suspension control valve in Section 10, subsection 3.1. The torque tables are in the front matter before Section 10, and the hydraulic system section includes specific tightening values for the variable displacement pump, priority valve, and auxiliary services control valve. Always reference the factory table, not a generic chart.
