Hydraulic System – Understanding the Triplex Pump

On page 10, the hydraulic system gets its own chapter. The CC 20 uses a triplex pump (items 20 in Fig 1) that drives vibration, steering, and the hydrostatic drive. The manual lays out the hydraulic oil tank capacity, filter specs, and the pump flow direction. If your drum vibrations cut out, check the pump coupling and the oil level first. Page 10 also covers the hydraulic motors (vibration and drive) and the steering cylinder. Don’t mix hydraulic oils – the manual calls for a specific viscosity.
