Main Relief Pressure & Pressure Up – Setting the Digging Power

- No. This is a test and adjusting manual, not a repair manual. It focuses on hydraulic pressures and electrical signals. Torque values for disassembly are in the service manual.
- Can I use this manual to set the pilot pressure on a DX with a Kawasaki pump?
- The manual covers both Rexroth and Kawasaki pump versions. For Kawasaki, the measuring point is labeled on the pump – you need the M14 adapter. The procedure is the same for power mode: start engine, set mode, measure current and pressure. But note that the pilot pressure section (section 3) gives the test point on the pilot manifold, not on the pump. If the pilot pressure is off, check the pilot relief valve first. The spec is in the manual. Do not adjust the main pump until you confirm pilot pressure is correct. I have seen techs chase pump settings when the root cause was a worn pilot relief.
