Deutz Fahr AGROTRON K 90, AGROTRON K 100, AGROTRON K 110, AGROTRON K 120 Workshop Manual

Deutz Fahr AGROTRON K 120 workshop manual cover image

If you’re pulling a transmission on an AGROTRON K 100 without factory specs, you’re asking for a comeback. I’ve seen it happen. A junior tech uses aftermarket torque values, the main clutch pack fails in 50 hours, and the customer is standing in the bay wanting blood. This Deutz Fahr AGROTRON K 90, AGROTRON K 100, AGROTRON K 110, AGROTRON K 120 Workshop Manual stops that. It’s the same binder the dealer network uses, not some third-party rewrite. 700 pages of procedures that don’t skip steps. The original file is direct from Same Deutz-Fahr Deutschland GmbH – page 1 tells you that.

Every section here was written for a tech on the clock. The SAFETY NOTES section opening on page 00-3 lays out general safety rules you follow before you touch a wrench. Cleaning mud off the cab steps isn’t pampering – it’s keeping you from breaking your neck. The manual tells you that in point 2. Then it moves into STANDARD TIGHTENING TORQUES with separate tables for nuts, bolts, fittings, plugs, and the 37˚ seal fittings. You don’t guess which threadlocker to use – the THREADLOCKERS, ADHESIVES, SEALANTS AND LUBRICANTS table is right there. That level of detail saves a rebuild.

Transmission: Power Shuttle and Main Clutch

SECTION 10 kicks off with the Transmission. The 1.1 POWER SHUTTLE TRANSMISSION subsection breaks down the main components, the hydraulic system, the gearbox, and the main clutch. Each solenoid valve operation schematic is drawn out in 1.1.6. You get the electronic system schematic in 1.1.7. If you’re rebuilding a shuttle on an AGROTRON K 110, you need those clutch engagement diagrams – missing a port on the control valve means chatter and a torn-up clutch disk. The manual also covers the rear axle (1.2) and rear PTO (1.3). That’s the difference between a factory manual and a generic PDF. The Transmission chapter alone is worth the price of entry.

Deutz Fahr AGROTRON K 90, AGROTRON K 100, AGROTRON K 110, AGROTRON K 120 Workshop Manual: Braking System Coverage

Brakes on these tractors bite hard. The manual divides the BRAKING SYSTEM into the brake pump (2.1), the brake itself (2.2), and the trailer braking system (2.3). That includes four variants: hydraulic trailer braking for Italy version, hydraulic for export, air trailer braking for Italy, and air for export. If you’re swapping a brake pump on an AGROTRON K 120 registered in Germany, you need the export version bleed procedure – the Italian version runs a different pressure valve. Page references for the pump removal are in the SECTION 10 brake pump sub-chapter (page numbers inside the PDF). The manual labels every union and seal type.

What Does SECTION 20 Cover?

SECTION 20 is all electronics and diagnostics. It opens with the DIAGNOSIS TOOLS chapter – the ALL ROUND TESTER kit description, the SERDIA 2000 LEVEL III software, and the EDS EST45 software. Then it walks you through connecting the tester to the electronic control units: the HLHP control units, the engine ECU via SERDIA 2000, and the transmission control unit. The COMMISSIONING THE TRACTOR subsection (4) is critical for a control unit swap. It covers renewal of the engine ECU, transmission ECU, and HLHP control unit, including calibration procedures. You need to calibrate the accelerator pedal using either the SERDIA program or the ART – both procedures are written out in 4.2.4 and 4.2.5. The manual even tells you how to configure the maximum travel speed for the German market (4.3.5). That level of regional detail is why you don’t rely on a generic wire diagram.

3 Sections You Can’t Afford to Skip

First, the HYDRAULIC SYSTEM chapter in SECTION 10. It includes separate diagrams for standard and full versions (5.1 and 5.2), the gear pump for the ZF 7100 transmission (5.3), and the priority valve for front axle suspension (5.9). Second, the FRONT AXLE section (4) covers steering geometry and suspension control valve (3.1). Third, the BRAKING SYSTEM trailer air braking sections have specific line routing for export tractors – get it wrong and the trailer brakes lock up on the road. The manual doesn’t let you skip any of these. If you’re working on an AGROTRON K 90 with front suspension, you need the FRONT SUSPENSION CONTROL VALVE subsection (3.1) to set ride height correctly.

Get the Right Torque Data from STANDARD TIGHTENING TORQUES

Torque values live in the STANDARD TIGHTENING TORQUES chapter right after the safety notes. Five sub-sections: NUTS AND BOLTS, FITTINGS, PLUGS, FITTINGS WITH SEAL AT 37˚, and FITTINGS FOR PIPES WITH EYE ATTACHMENT. Each table gives you the thread size and the torque in Nm (convert using the CONVERSION FACTORS table at the end of the chapter). For example, a M12 bolt gets a different torque than a M12 fitting with a 37˚ seal. The manual is explicit. Use the wrong table and you either strip the thread or crush the seal. That’s a leak you’ll chase for a week. The torque data is OEM, not “typical” values. That’s the difference between a fix and a repair.

Understand the Wiring Before You Touch It

The ELECTRONIC SYSTEM section in SECTION 20 includes the CANBUS system (3.2), the transmission control unit (3.3), and the INFOCENTER (3.4). Wiring schematics are embedded in the transmission electronic system schematic (1.1.7) and the clutch engagement solenoid valve operation schematic (1.1.6). If you’re diagnosing a no-shift issue on an AGROTRON K 100, start with the CANBUS wiring – a broken terminator resistor will mimic a failed solenoid. The manual shows you exactly where to measure with the ALL ROUND TESTER. It even tells you which serial ports to set (1.1.6 SETTING THE SERIAL PORTS). That’s the kind of detail that turns a four-hour diag into a twenty-minute pin check.

Does this manual cover the AGROTRON K 120?
Yes. The cover lists AGROTRON K 90, K 100, K 110, and K 120. All sections apply to the K 120, including the transmission and braking system chapters.
What torque specs are listed for transmission bolts?
The STANDARD TIGHTENING TORQUES chapter has tables for nuts, bolts, fittings, and seals at 37°. Use the NUTS AND BOLTS table for general fasteners. Transmission-specific torque values appear in the TRANSMISSION chapter sub-sections – the manual calls them out inline.
How do I connect the ART tester to the HLHP control unit?
SECTION 20, chapter 2.1 – CONNECTING THE ART TO THE HLHP CONTROL UNITS. The manual describes the cable and port settings.
Is there information on the trailer braking system for export models?
Yes. Section 10, chapter 2.3.2 covers hydraulic trailer braking for export version, and 2.3.4 covers air trailer braking for export version. Diagrams included.

This manual belongs on the bench next to your torque wrench. It’s the original OEM file from Deutz Fahr – not a scan of a scan. You get every page, every table, every schematic as the factory released it. If you’re pulling a transmission, calibrating a control unit, or bleeding brakes on an AGROTRON K 100, this is the only reference you trust. Access the Factory Manual now from AutoRepairManuals.
