The table shows country of origin, GVWR range, vehicle line (T for 4×2, U for 4×4), series (SXT, SLT, R/T), and engine codes: K for 3.7L, 6 for 4.0L, 9 for 2.8L diesel. Does This Manual Cover the 2.8L Diesel?

Yes. The 2.8L I4 turbo diesel (ENS) is listed in engine code 9. The manual covers powertrain accessories including engine oil cooler (Fig. 1-1102) and all related components. The front and rear axle sections include Dana 186MM and Corporate 210MM differentials, which are common on diesel-equipped Nitros. You’ll find the exact part numbers and assembly procedures for the drive shafts and skid plates. No aftermarket manual gives you that level of detail for the diesel variant.

3 Groups That Separate OEM from Aftermarket

Aftermarket manuals try to cram everything into one generic section. This factory manual breaks the Nitro into specific groups: Group 1 MoPar Accessories, Group 2 Front Suspension, Group 003DJJ Front Axle, Group 003DRA Rear Axle, Group 5 Brakes, Group 6 Clutch, Group 7 Cooling. Get the Right Axle Data – Dana 186MM and Corporate 210MM

Group 003DJJ covers the Dana 186MM front axle – housing, vent, differential assembly, and drive shafts. Group 003DRA covers the Corporate 210MM rear axle – 1-piece drive shaft, housing, vent, differential assembly, and axle shafts. Each figure includes a parts list with OEM part numbers. If you’re rebuilding a front differential, you need the housing and vent diagram (Fig. 003DJJ-210) and the differential assembly (Fig. 003DJJ-220). The manual specifies the fill plug torque and vent tube routing. Don’t guess – use the factory data. Brakes: Factory Procedure for the HCU and Tubes

Front Suspension and Cradle: Torque Specs You Can Trust

Group 2 covers the front suspension – strut and cradle assembly (Fig. 2-110 and 2-120) and the stabilizer bar (Fig. 2-210). The cradle bolts are torqued to factory spec, not a generic value. The manual shows the fastening sequence for the cradle to the frame. If you’re replacing struts, you need the correct torque for the top nut and lower bolt. This manual gives you that. No aftermarket book has the exact sequence for the 2008 Nitro cradle.

Does this manual include wiring diagrams?
