This catalog is an original 1975 reprint (Form 1012401, replaces TP-103). Every part number in this book was assigned by CDS engineering, keyed to tractor serial ranges: 600-1001 FL and up, base group 501 and up for 500/600; 600-5968 and up for the 630 series; same base group for Buckmaster. That level of traceability is what you pay for.

I’ve seen DIY mechanics order a “side shift cylinder” from an online warehouse and get something with the wrong port spacing. The OEM illustration on page 176 shows the exact port orientation and hose routing. You can match it against what’s on your machine before you order.

Index and How to Order Parts Properly

The last section of the catalog is a part number index that tells you which page a number appears on. No more flipping through 280 pages blind. The foreword (page 3) lays out exactly what information you need when calling a dealer: tractor and engine serial numbers, model name, part description or old part, and whether you want freight, express, or parcel post. It also defines right and left hand from the operator’s seat facing forward. Miss that detail and you’ll order a left-side floor plate when you need a right-side one. I’ve done it. Don’t.
