ASV PT-70 2008 Parts Catalog

If you’re ordering parts for an ASV PT-70 without the factory parts catalog, you’re risking your time and money. I’ve seen it too many times – a tech orders a ‘looks about right’ part and ends up with the wrong hydraulic cylinder or a pump that doesn’t fit. That’s why this 2008 Parts Catalog exists: 33 pages of exploded diagrams and genuine part numbers, straight from ASV.

ASV PT-70 2008 Parts Catalog cover – factory OEM manual for rubber track loader

Cab (R.O.P.S.) Assembly and Interior Parts

The cab section covers the ROPS structure, interior panels, wiring harness routes, and all fasteners. Serial number break PTH 00608-Current identifies which machines this applies to – yours needs to match. Page 1-A shows the cab assembly. I’ve seen guys skip checking the serial number and order the wrong door seal. Don’t be that guy.

Hydraulic Systems: Pumps, Valves, and Reservoir

Three chapters cover the hydraulic side: Hydraulic Reservoir Assembly (page 8-A), Hydraulic Control Assembly (page 9-A), and Hyd. Drive/Auxiliary Pump Assembly (page 11-A). Each has exploded views with part numbers for hoses, fittings, seals, and the pump itself. If you’re replacing a pump, cross-reference the part number against your machine’s serial. The pilot generation block is on page 12-A. Don’t guess at O-ring sizes – use the O-ring section at the back of the manual.

33 Pages of Exploded Views

Every assembly in this Parts Catalog gets its own exploded diagram with item callouts keyed to a parts list. The table of contents lists 26 numbered assemblies plus general service items, lubricants, O-ring details, cylinder components, and wire harnesses. That’s a complete breakdown of the PT-70 rubber track loader. For the engine, see page 13-A – intake/exhaust, cooling, mounting brackets. For the undercarriage, pages 17-A and 18-A cover right and left tracks. This is the same document the dealer’s parts counter uses.

What’s Included in the General Service Items Section?

After the assembly chapters, the manual lists common service items like engine oil filter, air filters, fuel filter, belts, coolant, grease, and hydraulic oil. Each item has the ASV part number and manufacturer description. You won’t find generic cross-references. If you need the correct primary air filter, look it up here. The lubricant section specifies what grade and quantity to use. No guesswork.

Verify Your Serial Number Before Ordering

This catalog covers machines with serial number PTH 00608-Current as of the print date (3/08). If your PT-70 has a lower number, you need an earlier revision. Always check your machine’s serial plate before placing an order. I can’t stress this enough – the wrong steering column or cab interior harness will set you back days. The manual also includes notes for MP-1 vs MP-2 machines on the cab interior assembly (pages 2-A and 2A-A). Pay attention to those suffixes.

Is this a service manual or a parts catalog?
It’s a parts catalog – exploded views and part numbers, not repair procedures.
How do I know which parts fit my specific PT-70 machine?
The manual identifies machines by serial number prefix PTH 00608-Current. Your machine’s serial plate (usually inside the cab or on the chassis) will start with PTH followed by six digits. If the number is 00608 or higher, this catalog applies. For earlier machines, you’ll need the predecessor manual. Also note that optional equipment like air conditioning, cab heater, enclosed cab, and hydraulic quick attach have separate sections. If your machine has an enclosed cab, reference page 4-A. If it has a cab heater, page 26-A. The wire harness sections differentiate between MP-2 and MP-1 machine configurations. Failure to match these can result in ordering a harness that doesn’t reach. The O-ring and cylinder service items at the back cover common rebuild components across the entire PT-70 line.

If you’re working on a PT-70 and need to order parts correctly, get this manual. Stop wasting time with aftermarket parts catalogs that skip details.
