Cruise Control Main Switch & Connector – Page 1
The manual starts with the main switch at the end of the turn signal lever. Three positions: OFF, ON, RESUME. The SET button is on the lower side. Page 1 includes a note about the 1996 models using OBD II in the center console—irrelevant for your ’95, but good to know if you’re working on a later unit. Brake & Clutch Valves: Self-Adjusting Design

That’s twelve terminals you can probe with a multimeter. The manual says the control unit decides if the system can be controlled based on input signals and performs diagnostic functions that communicate through the underhood diagnostic hookup. Vacuum Pump & Regulator Operation
Page 4 covers the vacuum pump and regulator unit in the left front corner of the engine compartment. When the cruise is active, a 12-volt motor pumps vacuum when you press the accelerator, sucking air out of the tube to the servo. Air is pumped out through the right coupling, each coupling has a check valve to prevent air from re-entering. There’s a separate tube for constant atmospheric pressure to the upper pump housing. The regulator releases air when you let off the accelerator. If your system holds vacuum but doesn’t release, that regulator is stuck. The manual describes it clearly enough that you can bench-test the unit with a hand vacuum pump.
Vacuum Servo: Adjusting the Bellows
Vacuum servo is next to the accelerator pedal, a housing and bellows. Bellows pulls toward the housing when pressure drops, which pulls the wire that connects to the throttle linkage. The adjustment procedure is on page 4. If the bellows doesn’t move full stroke, you’ll get a surging cruise. The manual doesn’t give a specific stroke length—that’s [DATA NEEDED]—but it tells you to verify that the wire moves freely and that the bellows seats correctly.
