Does the Catalog Include Detroit Diesel Engine Parts?

On page 2, the catalog clearly states that engine internal parts for the Detroit Diesel are not offered by MinnPar. But all the chassis-side fuel system, cooling, and mounting parts are here. The Fuel Filters (pages 27,30,31), Fuel Pump (page 33), Injector (page 136), and Fuel Tank (page 37) are fully covered. If you need internal engine pieces, contact a Detroit Diesel dealer directly.

Yes, but Detroit Diesel internal parts are not listed. See page 2.

How do I identify which model I have?

Find the model symbol stamped on the rear face of the steering clutch housing at the upper right hand corner; also on a plate attached to the cowl. The symbol (HD5A, HD5B, etc.) appears before the serial number. The catalog on page 3 lists the differences: HD5A is short track, 44″ tread; HD5B short track, 60″ tread; HD5D long track, 44″ tread; HD5E long track, 60″ tread; HD5F long track, 60″ tread rigid frame. If your tractor has a front shovel, it’s HD5G and you need a separate shovel parts catalog. Use the numerical index on page 175 to find any part number quickly.
