Power Distribution: +12V and Negative Paths

Sheets 3 and 4 cover +12V power distribution and negative (ground) distribution. There is a separate sheet (5) for the optional disconnect. The diagram shows every fuse, every splice location, and the buss bar connections. The negative switch links are on sheet 53. If you have a parasitic draw, you start by isolating the load centers and checking the splice locations listed on sheets 54 and 55. You do not need to reinvent the wheel – the OEM already did the legwork.

Use the OEM Wiring Diagram, Not Aftermarket Copies

Aftermarket wiring books for the 387 are garbage. I have seen diagrams that omit the sleeper power expansion and mislabel the ABS high circuit. You get the exact wire colors, connector pinouts, and circuit numbers that the truck left the factory with.
