Section 3.4 walks you through the Compression Gauge Check – test results, compression pressure limit chart, and interpreting readings. You need a compression gauge that reads in psi, not bar. The manual gives you the exact limits for each cylinder. Skip this step and you’re guessing whether that low power is a valve issue or a ring problem. There’s also a cylinder leakage detection procedure in 3.4.4 that uses shop air – make sure your regulator is set below 25 psi or you’ll blow out the crankcase seals.

Does This Manual Cover the Cooling System?

Yes. Section 1.2 is dedicated to the Cooling system: materials, draining, filling, and bleeding. Section 4.5 has pinpoint tests for coolant loss and engine overheating. The coolant bleed procedure on a gaseous engine is different from a diesel – you have to open the vent on the thermostat housing or you trap air. The manual spells it out. Get the Right Torque Specifications

If you ignore the sequence and torque in random order, you’ll warp the gasket. I’ve seen it. Follow the spec.
