The DAF engine in this harvester is not a common base. Aftermarket catalogs lump it with generic diesel parts. That’s how you end up with a gasket set that’s 2mm off. This catalog shows the exact cylinder head set gasket: two options – 681567 and 681406. Why two? Different head deck heights. The manual doesn’t explain that, but the numbers tell you. You also get the complete piston set with liner (681892) and the separate piston ring set (680853). Note the oil sealing ring is the same part number as the piston set – that’s a factory typo? No, it’s because the liner kit includes the seal. You need to know that when you order. Aftermarket lists don’t tell you.

No. This is a parts catalog, not a service manual. It lists part numbers, not torque values. You need the workshop manual for that.

I see part numbers like 681567 and 681406 for a cylinder head gasket set. Which one fits my 1900?

That depends on the engine serial number and whether the head has been resurfaced. The catalog lists both because DAF used different gasket thicknesses for different deck heights. If you can’t measure the old gasket thickness, order both and return the one you don’t use. But before you do that, check the group number 2-01-14 – that same page might show a note.
