Description
Mitsubishi OPB20SP, OPB10SPF Wiring Diagram – Factory 13-Page OEM Schematics

If you are tracing a short, a blown fuse, or a controller that won’t wake up on a Mitsubishi OPB20SP or OPB10SPF forklift, grab the Mitsubishi OPB20SP, OPB10SPF Wiring Diagram before you touch a meter. Thirteen pages. That is all. But those thirteen pages are the exact circuit diagrams the factory prints—no aftermarket redraws, no guesses about what pin does what. I have seen too many people chase a traction fault using a generic diagram and end up replacing a good controller. This document stops that.
13 Pages of Factory Wiring: What’s Inside
Each sheet maps a dedicated subsystem. The TOC breaks it down: Power Supplies 24V, Power Circuits, Traction Circuits 1 & 2, Lifting Circuits 1 & 2, Steering Circuits (two sheets), then five wire-harness pages with Mitsubishi part numbers RL450543, RL450141, RL450445, RL450446, and RL450447. You get the schematic for the entire electrical system, including the SEM traction controller, steering motor controller, pump motor, and the display unit. Page 1 shows the 24V supply from the battery through the main contactors, fuse ratings (10A, 50A, 200A), and the wiring to the drive and pump motors. Page 3 lays out the traction circuit with accelerator potentiometer, emergency stop, and the SEM-1C controller pinout.
Power Supplies 24V – Where to Start
Start at page 1. Ten-amp fuses on the control side, 200A on the main power. The diagram uses wire sizes in mm² (2.5, 6.0, 16, 25) as factory spec. If you have a dead battery discharge indicator, trace back through the 2.5 mm² wire to the main contactor coil circuit. Page 1 also shows the steering motor and pump motor connections with the OL overloads. Don’t skip checking the fuse numbers (0F1, 1F1, 2F1) before ordering parts—I’ve seen five mechanics replace a contactor when all it needed was a 10A fuse.
Traction Circuits: Factory Specs You Need
Pages 3 and 4 cover Traction Circuits 1 and 2. The SEM traction controller (A1) is the brain, and page 3 gives you every pin: CPOT, NPOT, H&S, SR1, SR2, the main contactor coils (1K1, 1K2), and the reversing/pedestrian functions from the backrest buttons. The potentiometer signal is 0-5V—check that with the key on before condemning the controller. Page 4 includes the magnetic brake interlock relay and the brake switch (NC/NO config). If the truck won’t move and the display shows no errors, verify the emergency stop circuit through pin 2/13 and the key switch line at pin 1/16. That path eats more diag time than anything else on these trucks.
What About the Lifting and Steering Circuits?
Lifting Circuits 1 and 2 (pages 5-6) show the pump motor controller and the solenoid valve wiring for lift and tilt. Steering Circuits (pages 7-8) cover the steering motor controller and the feedback wiring. Each page follows the Mitsubishi TS811002 drawing number format, so the wire labels match what you see under the cowling. Wire harness pages 9-13 give you the exact connector layouts and pin assignments for W5, W06, W10, W09, and W08. That is the difference between a 2-hour wire repair and a two-day hack job.
Why OEM Wiring Diagrams Are the Only Option
Aftermarket wiring books for industrial trucks often merge several models into one drawing, which means they leave out the pedestrian reverse-relay circuit or swap pin assignments. This is the real Mitsubishi document—same PDF the dealer uses. For general wiring concepts, you can reference Automotive Wiring sources, but when you need the exact conductor that runs from pin 7 on X10 to the emergency stop, you use the factory sheet. Same with Automotive Wiring theory—it helps with understanding, but it won’t tell you that the brake interlock goes through J11 pin 4 on the OPB20SP.

- Does this cover both OPB20SP and OPB10SPF models?
- Yes, both models are included on the same sheets. The diagram shows OPB20SP/OPB10SPF on every page.
- What is the difference between Traction Circuits 1 and 2 in this manual?
- Traction Circuit 1 (page 3) focuses on the SEM-1C controller, accelerator potentiometer, key switch, emergency stop, and the main contactor coil (1K1, 1K2). It includes the forward/reverse input from the backrest buttons and the pedestrian mode. Traction Circuit 2 (page 4) covers the display/control unit, brake switch, magnetic brake interlock relay, reversing function, and the foot pedal wiring. You need both pages to fully diagnose a no-motion complaint—page 3 gives the controller signals, page 4 gives the interlock chain and brake power. If the brake relay isn’t pulling in, page 4 is where you start; if the controller isn’t seeing throttle voltage, go to page 3. Many technicians replace the controller when the problem is a 50-cent relay on page 4.
- Are wire harness part numbers included?
- Yes, chapters 9-13 list five harness assemblies with Mitsubishi part numbers RL450543, RL450141, RL450445, RL450446, and RL450447.
- Can I use this diagram on a different forklift model?
- No. These schematics are specific to the OPB20SP and OPB10SPF electrical architectures. Using them on other Mitsubishi models risks mis-wiring safety circuits.
Thirteen pages of factory wiring, no aftermarket shortcuts, no redrawn lines that miss a crucial diode. If you work on these Mitsubishi forklifts, stop guessing which pin is which. Access the Factory Manual from AutoRepairManuals and keep it open on your bench.
