Certified Mitsubishi 30t x 24m Technical Manual: 465 pages of OEM hydraulic crane specs, wiring diagrams, and factory maintenance schedules.
Description
I’ve been an ASE Master Technician 28 years, and I’ve torqued head bolts on everything from a Geo Metro to a 50-ton crane. When a Mitsubishi 30t x 24m hydraulic deck crane rolled into my shop, the owner handed me a stack of photocopies from some aftermarket CD. That’s when I told him to stop wasting my time. Get the real thing: the Mitsubishi 30t x 24m Technical Manual from AutoRepairManuals. This is the OEM print – 465 pages of factory engineering, not some translated guesswork. If you’re already reaching for your third coffee, listen up.

Page 1 shows the finished plan – Mitsubishi Hydraulic Deck Crane, SAIKIE HEAVY INDUSTRIES, LTD. SNo. 1115. That’s the starting point. On page 2 you get the entire contents list: Manufacturing Specification, Spares & Tools List, Instruction Manual, Maintenance Manual, Inspection and Maintenance, and Record of Inspection. Every section is in English and Japanese – Mitsubishi didn’t cut corners, and neither should you.
Mitsubishi 30t x 24m Technical Manual: What You Get
This isn’t a generic repair pamphlet. The Instruction Manual covers operating procedure, vane-type pump instruction, Dowmax hydraulic motor (MB350AS200), and induction motors. There’s a dedicated maintenance manual for the Mitsubishi RM motor and a procedure for replacing wire rope and re-adjusting limit switches. I’ve seen guys skip the limit switch re-adjustment step and wrap wire rope around the drum like a bird’s nest. That’s a rigging failure waiting to happen. The factory procedure is on page 73 of the manual – check it before you start.
3 Key Sections for Crane Maintenance
Here are the three parts I use most:
- Manufacturing Specification – gives you the baseline for all clearances and tolerances. Don’t assume anything.
- Spares & Tools List – split into mechanical/hydraulic and electrical. If you’re ordering seals for the T6EE+T6C pump unit, this is where you find the exact part number.
- Inspection and Maintenance – includes a record-of-inspection log. OSHA guys love that paper trail.
You’ll also find reference drawings for the assembly of brake gear, controller, neutral holders, and the differential limit switch box. That last one is a bear to troubleshoot without the factory schematic.
Why OEM Documentation Beats Aftermarket Copies
I’ve had to track down torque specs for slewing bearing bolts from third-party manuals that were off by 20 ft-lbs. On a 30-ton crane, that’s a lawsuit. The manual you get here is the same one Mitsubishi shipped to SAIKIE Heavy Industries. It includes the assembly drawing numbers (DSC7107612, etc.) and the hex bolt washer specs for the turn-table bearing. If you’ve ever tried to match a metric bolt from a blurry PDF, you know the value of original prints. Aftermarket manuals don’t have the part reference for the MRP1703D-375-99A slewing device – this one does.
Spares & Tools List: Factory Part Numbers
Section 2-1 lists spares for mechanical and hydraulic equipment. Section 2-2 covers electrical. I’ve had a job where a customer brought in a Dowmax motor that was leaking from the case drain. The aftermarket manual said “use standard O-ring”. The factory list specified the exact O-ring cross-section and durometer. Saved three days of guessing. If you’re working on a Mitsubishi 30t x 24m crane, you need this list. Related manual: Mitsubishi Eclipse 1994 Technical Manual – Factory Specs & Torque Data and Mitsubishi Galant Technical Manual – MPI 4G63 DOHC Factory Specs are different beasts – for marine hydraulic gear, stick with this one. Also see Mitsubishi V5MT1 1995 Technical Manual – Factory Transmission Specs if you’re doing a transmission swap on a different machine.
Inspection and Maintenance: Your Legal Safety Net
Record of Inspection (TOC lists it explicitly) – fill it out every time you touch the crane. I’ve been on job sites where the safety officer demanded the last three inspection records. If you can’t produce them, the crane gets red-tagged. This manual gives you the forms and the procedures. Don’t hand-write your own; use the OEM template.
One last thing: Automotive Industry Overview standards for documentation consistency – but for a Mitsubishi marine crane, you need Mitsubishi’s own documentation. Automotive Industry Overview of heavy equipment maintenance stresses using manufacturer-recommended procedures. This manual is it.
- Does this manual cover the Dowmax hydraulic motor MB350AS200?
- Yes – Section 3-5 is dedicated to the Dowmax motor instruction manual, including operation and overhaul. Page 73 has the pressure settings.
- What about the vane-type pump T6EE+T6C?
- The instruction manual for the vane-type pump is Section 3-3. It includes a full overhaul instruction that covers clearances, rotor end-play specs, and inspection intervals. I’ve used it to rebuild three of these pumps on older cranes. There is also a reference drawing for the pump unit assembly (DSC3102340) that shows every o-ring and bolt location. If you skip the step about pre-filling the vanes with oil before startup, you’ll score the cam ring. That mistake costs $2,000 in parts and a week of downtime. The manual warns you on page 73 of the vane pump section – read that paragraph twice before you pull the first bolt.
You’ve read through the TOC, you’ve seen the drawings. If you’re serious about maintaining that Mitsubishi 30t x 24m hydraulic deck crane without wasting time on guesswork, Access the Factory Manual from AutoRepairManuals and get the right specs on your bench.
