Description

Leeboy 400, 400T 2007 Parts Catalog

If you’ve ever ordered the wrong bearing for a vibratory roller because the parts counter kid read a cross-reference wrong, you know why I’m writing this. The Leeboy 400, 400T 2007 Parts Catalog is the factory-printed Illustrated Parts List (IPL) that eliminates that guesswork. 28 pages, serial number 43832 and higher, revised June 15, 2007. This is the document Leeboy’s own parts sales team uses—not some aftermarket scan that lost the callout numbers.

Leeboy 400 and 400T Roller 2007 Parts Catalog cover showing IPL manual

Kubota Engine Group (Figure 1) – What’s Actually Listed

Figure 1 covers the Kubota engine group with full exploded views and part numbers. The catalog notes right on page IPL-4 that not every engine nut and bolt is stocked by Leeboy—they tell you to contact your engine dealer for parts not shown. That’s honest documentation. If you’re rebuilding a D1305 or D1402, you get the factory part numbers for the bits Leeboy assembles, not a generic listing from an aftermarket house. The IPL also includes a separate Miscellaneous Groups – Kubota section (Figure 2) for things like the engine mount brackets and vibration isolators.

Hatz Engine & Miscellaneous Groups (Figure 3)

Same treatment for the Hatz engine variant. Figure 3 lays out the Hatz 1B30 and 1B40 groups with the same level of detail. Leeboy didn’t shortcut the older powerplants. If your 400T has a Hatz, you get the same exploded view and part number breakdown. The manual even separates the Kubota and Hatz sections so you don’t cross-thread your brain looking for a fuel filter.

Front Drum & Yoke Assembly (Figure 4) – Torque Specs? Check the IPL

This isn’t a repair manual, but any mechanic worth his 6-point sockets knows you need the right part number before you torque the drum bolts. Figure 4 (page IPL-10) shows the front drum, yoke, kingpin, and bearing set. You get OEM part numbers for the seals, bearings, and the bi-rotor hydraulic motor adapter. When you’re pulling that drum off, you don’t want aftermarket numbers printed in faded ink. Use the factory IPL and order the exact Leeboy part.

Electrical Schematics: 5 Sheets of OEM Wiring

The back of the catalog contains five electrical schematic pages: 400/400T roller main harness, Kubota engine harness, gauge panel, warning lights, and tow package. Each schematic is a full-page drawing, not a thumbnail. If you’re chasing a short in the warning light circuit on a 400T, you’ll find the correct wire colors and connector pinouts starting on SCHM-4. This is the same wiring diagram Leeboy techs used when the roller was new.

How to Use the IPL – Part Number Explanation

Right after the introduction, the manual explains their part numbering system in plain English. They split each figure into reference numbers, part numbers, descriptions, and quantities. No ambiguous “refer to engine dealer” nonsense—they tell you exactly which numbers are Leeboy stocked and which you get from the engine manufacturer. That clarity alone saves a phone call to parts sales every time. The alphabetical index at the back is cross-referenced by equipment designator, so you can look up “vibration motor” and jump to the right figure.

Who Needs This Catalog on the Bench

Home garage guys who bought a used 400T at auction need this. So do shop owners with a fleet of rental rollers. If you’re a DIYer who changes your own bearings and hydraulic hoses, you’ll use the exploded views to spot missing brackets or wrong fasteners. The 28 pages are short enough to flip through quickly but dense enough that you’ll find the seal part number for the rear drum assembly (Figure 5) without searching online forums. Professionals: keep it in the laptop case for the next time the parts guy asks for a “better description” than the worn stamping.

OEM vs Aftermarket: Why This Matters

I’ve seen aftermarket parts catalogs that re-labeled the same drawing for three different models and swapped callout numbers. That doesn’t happen here. This is a direct scan of the Leeboy factory print, manual number 400498-01. It’s 28 pages of original OEM data, not a recompile. The serial number cut-off (43832 and higher) is printed right on the cover so you know it applies to your machine. If you’re working on earlier serial numbers, check the related manuals below.

FAQ

Does this catalog include torque specs?
No. This is a Parts Catalog, not a service manual. Torque values are not listed.
I have a 400 with a Kubota D1305. Can I use this to order parts from my local engine dealer?
Only for the parts Leeboy assembles onto the engine (brackets, pumps, pulleys). The catalog explicitly states: “For all engine parts not listed on the following pages, contact your engine dealer.” The engine-specific items like pistons, rings, and gaskets are not shown in these figures. You’ll need the engine manufacturer’s own parts list for those internals. But for anything that mounts to the engine—alternator bracket, hydraulic pump drive, muffler—this IPL gives you the exact Leeboy part number. That saves you from ordering a generic bracket that doesn’t align with the frame mounts. I’ve seen that mistake cost a whole afternoon of re-drilling. The catalog is worth the access for the drum and canopy groups alone, but don’t expect it to cover internal engine rebuild parts.
