Does the Manual Cover the CRI Fuel System?
Yes. The Common Rail Injection (CRI) system is covered in Part 2 of the Structure section. You get the system diagram, the outline of how it works, fuel piping, fuel filter, the electric priming pump, and the engine controller cooler. Each one has a flowchart. E-mode covers error codes like 111/CA111 (ECM internal failure), 115/CA115 (speed sensor error), 122/CA122 (charge air pressure sensor high), and many more. If you get a code on a 170E-5, this manual tells you what to test and in what order.
