Torque is not a suggestion. When I’m torquing cylinder head bolts or main bearing caps, I use the value from the manual’s standard tightening torque table. Page 00-35 lists bolts by thread diameter and grade, with the torque in Nm (and you can convert to lb-ft via the conversion table).
