Bulletin 6/015: Crownwheel Bolt Torque Specs

This bulletin covers the CD90 axle on 420, 425, and 430 machines. The factory procedure replaces the 8.8 grade bolts and locktabs with Verbus Ripp 12.9 grade bolts. Torque spec: 166 Nm (125 lbf ft). That’s not a suggestion – it’s the number JCB engineers calculated. Use new bolts only, part number 826/01080. The bulletin tells you to skip the dowels and locktabs. If you follow a generic manual, you’ll miss that detail.

Parking Brake Warning – What the Factory Says

Bulletin 6/016 addresses a customer complaint: the master warning light and buzzer don’t work when the parking brake is engaged. Affected machines: 426 up to serial 531051, 436 up to 533056. The service procedure is simple – park on level ground, stop the engine, then check the wiring. But you need the original bulletin to see the exact test points. Aftermarket manuals skip this.

Idle Control Bulletins for 425 and 435
