Description

I’m Mike Callahan, 28-year ASE Master running a six-bay shop in San Antonio. I’ve watched guys burn a whole afternoon because they ordered the wrong bearing or pulley for an Iseki mower. Aftermarket parts catalogs are garbage for this – they guess, you pay. This is the real deal: the Iseki SSM48, SF200, TM215, TMG18, SG173 Parts Catalog – an OEM Iseki publication, 30 pages, factory diagrams, and the exact part numbers you need. No third-party interpretation.

Iseki SSM48 parts catalog cover

What the Catalog Covers – 15 Illustrated Systems

Every system on the SSM48 and related models is broken down into numbered figures: Joint (Universal) System on Fig. 1, Case (Bevel) System with F, G, and M type variants on Figs. 2-4, Pulley System Fig. 5, Metal System Fig. 6, Blade System Fig. 7, Deck System Fig. 8, Cover (Discharge) and Cover (Belt) Systems Figs. 9-10, Wheel (Gauge) System Fig. 11, Lift System (F type) Fig. 12, Link System (M type) Fig. 13, Cylinder System (M type) Fig. 14, and Label Fig. 15. That’s the entire machine, laid out so you can point at a part and know exactly what to order.

30 Pages of OEM Part Numbers and Diagrams

Thirty pages – not a single one wasted. Each page shows the exploded view on the left and the parts table on the right. The table gives you the Key number, Part Code, Description, Model applicability flags, Quantity per unit, Interchangeability code, Color code, Group number for set replacements, and Remarks including cross-references to other maker’s part numbers. If you’ve ever fought with a generic parts list that doesn’t tell you whether a part fits the HST version or the standard transmission, you’ll feel the relief in your shoulders when you open this catalog.

Decode the Parts Table – Key, Code, Description, Model

Look at the head paragraph on page 2. The “Applicable model of machines” note lists codes like M17, MH17, F, G17, G15, M, MH, and E4. These tell you exactly which machine variant uses each part. For example, M17 is for TM215/217 (STD), MH17 for TM215/217 (HST) and TMG18, F for SF200/230, G17 for SG173, and so on. The table columns show a matrix of model columns: SSM48, SSM48F, SSM48G, SRM48, SRM48F, SRM48G, plus C and R columns for the parts catalog itself. A star (*) marks standard parts; T means optional; R means replaceable. You can’t misinterpret this – it’s laid out like a wiring diagram for your brain.

How to Determine Interchangeability?

The TTC column (Interchangeability) has codes 1, 2, 3. Code 1: new part replaces old (OLD ← NEW). Code 2: old part can replace new (OLD → NEW). Code 3: parts are not interchangeable. Page 2 of the catalog spells this out clearly. If you’re ordering a part for a machine that’s had previous repairs, these codes save you from buying a part that won’t fit even though it looks the same in the photo. I’ve seen that mistake cost a shop half a day’s labor – don’t be that guy.

Iseki SSM48, SF200, TM215, TMG18, SG173 Parts Catalog – System Notes

Keep the manual open on your bench while you’re disassembling. The “Remarks” column often includes other maker’s part numbers and set replacement group letters. For instance, parts marked A can be replaced by parts marked B, and so on alphabetically. The catalog even includes footnotes for parts supplied by length (M for meter) or by liter (l) or requiring adjustment (AR). If you’re rebuilding a mower deck, you need this level of detail. For the service manual side, check the Iseki SSM48 SRM48 SBC 350 Parts Catalog for related models, the Iseki SF200 SF230 Service Manual for repair procedures, and the ISEKI TXG23 Service Manual for a different platform. For broader context on agricultural equipment standards, see the Automotive Industry Overview and the Automotive Industry Overview.

That’s it – 30 pages, factory illustrations, no guesswork.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this catalog include torque specifications?
No. This is a parts catalog, not a service manual. You get part numbers and diagrams, not torque values.
How do I read the interchangeability codes in the table?
The TTC column shows three codes. Code 1 (OLD ← NEW) means the new part can replace the old; if you have a machine with serial number 229 and the part was updated, you order the new number and it fits. Code 2 (OLD → NEW) means the old part can still be used in place of the newer one – useful if you have NOS inventory. Code 3 means the two parts cannot be swapped at all; order the exact number listed for your serial range. The catalog indicates lower column serial numbers, like “-229” meaning up to 229, and “230” meaning 230 and after. That detail keeps you from buying a case half that doesn’t mate with your transmission. Pay attention to the serial number on your equipment – it’s listed on the machine’s ID plate.
