Hitachi Sumitomo ZW310 Parts Catalog

Hitachi Sumitomo ZW310 Parts Catalog cover – 192-page OEM factory parts catalog

Hitachi Sumitomo ZW310 Parts Catalog – that’s what you need if you’re tired of chasing part numbers across three different screens. I’ve been turning wrenches for 28 years, and I can tell you: the difference between a job that goes smooth and one that eats your lunch comes down to the paper in front of you.

192 pages of exploded views, each one drawn from the factory’s own engineering data. The aftermarket catalogs I’ve seen leave out half the detail – especially the service code symbols that tell you when a part was superseded. This one doesn’t.

Transmission Sections: 29 Exploded Views

The transmission alone takes up 29 pages. That’s not fluff – that’s every gear, shaft, seal, and bearing broken down in the order they come apart. Need the thrust washer part number? It’s in there. The catalog labels each spread with the exact section (TRANSMISSION 1/29 through 29/29). You don’t flip back and forth wondering if you’re looking at the input or output cluster. It’s laid out stepwise.

For the mechanic rebuilding a ZW310 gearbox, having those 29 pages means you can order every seal and snap ring before you crack the case. No mid-job trips to the dealer.

Pump Systems: Main, Fan, Emergency, and Regulator

Four pump sections are covered: MAIN pump, FAN pump, EMERGENCY pump, and the REGULATOR. Each one has its own exploded view with part numbers. The X40PUMP-U variant is also included. If you’re chasing a charge pressure issue, you can find the regulator breakdown and see exactly which shims and springs are used. That’s the kind of detail that keeps a machine running instead of sitting.

Does This Manual Cover the Axles and Propeller Shafts?

Yes. Front and rear axle assemblies are each split into 4 pages – so 8 total for axles. Then separate pages for the front and rear propeller shafts. The exploded views show every bearing, seal, and gear inside the differential and final drives. If you’re replacing an axle shaft or rebuilding a hub, you get the OEM part numbers for the seals and bearings. No guesswork on which inner oil seal fits.

Why Factory OEM Data Matters (Especially for Hydraulic Components)

The aftermarket catalogs I’ve seen leave out the service code symbols you see in the front of this manual. A “Y” means unconditional compatibility. A “D” with a date tells you when a part was changed. Without those, you risk ordering a part that was superseded three years ago. This catalog prints those codes next to every part. The VALVE section alone covers control valves (2PL, 3PL), steering valve, brake valve, charge valve, restriction valve, and lock valve. Each one has its own page with part numbers and compatibility notes.

How to Use the Parts Index and Compatibility Symbols

Flip to the back – there’s a full PARTS INDEX. Every part number listed with a page reference. The manual also has a symbol legend on page 5: “Y” for unconditional compatibility, “I” for interchangeable (one way), “P” for prohibited, “K” for kit-available, “W” for local modification required. Read that legend before you place an order. It saves you from returning a seal that doesn’t fit.

Is this a PDF or a physical book?
Digital PDF, 192 pages, watermarked.
Does it include the engine?
No. This catalog covers the hydraulic systems, transmission, axles, cylinders, valves, and aircon unit. Engine parts are not listed here. The catalog explicitly says it shows “precision parts of ZW310 Wheel Loader” – those are the hydraulic and powertrain components. For engine parts, you’ll want the engine service manual. The machine shown uses a DaimlerChrysler OM460LA, but that engine’s internal parts are not in this book.
What do the service code letters mean?
They indicate compatibility and ordering restrictions: “Y” means the part is directly interchangeable. “I” means you can replace the old part with the new one, but not the reverse. “P” means the part is discontinued and you must use the substitute in the next column. “K” means it’s part of a service kit. “R” means the quantity varies per machine. Check the legend on page 5 before you order anything.
Can I use this for serial numbers outside the range listed?
The catalog applies to serial numbers from 4HF:000101 and 4HA:005101. Later machines may have updates not shown. Check the “D” (date) codes in the compatibility column – if a part has a date after your machine’s build date, you need the superseded version.

If you’re ordering parts for a ZW310, don’t guess. Get the factory document that shows exactly what goes where. Access the Factory Manual today.
