Description
HIAB ZL 250-135 2009 Parts Catalog
You ever pull a valve system off the shelf, get it bolted in, only to find the voltage doesn’t match your machine? That’s a half-day wasted. The HIAB ZL 250-135 2009 Parts Catalog kills that guesswork cold. This is the factory C-Service 3 book, 100 pages, published in 2009. Every part is indexed by serial number range – not a generic exploded view. If you’re maintaining a ZL 250-135 loader crane, this is the only reference you trust on your bench.
Valve System Breakdown by Serial Number Range
The TOC splits the valve system into eight separate chapters based on serial number brackets. Chapter 6.5.3 covers SN 178450–179585 with part numbers 32564b (12V, 13 L/min) and 32565b (24V, 13 L/min). Each subsequent SN range gets its own revision letter – 32564c, 32564d, all the way to 32564g for SN 209094 and up. That means you order the exact valve body, not a “universal” replacement that needs adapters. Need the ventilsystem for the latest build? Page 26 shows the 24V 13 L/m unit. Don’t guess the revision – check your crane’s serial plate.
Hydraulic Unit Options: 12V vs. 24V
Hydraulic unit 7000 is listed in five chapters (6.1 through 6.4), each again split by serial number and voltage. Parts 32568 (24V) and 32569 (12V) appear with suffixes a, b, c as the SN range advances. If you’re working on a crane built between SN 178050 and 178449, you need 32568a or 32569a – page 82 for the 24V unit, page 84 for the 12V. Mixing up the revision letter means getting a pump that doesn’t line up with the mounting bracket. This catalog has the breakdown.
Electric Safety Valve Identification
Chapter 7.1 lists four different electric safety valves: 54132 (24V), 54131 (12V), 54120 (24V), and 54129 (12V). These aren’t interchangeable. The catalog shows the exact part number along with the page number. 54132 appears on page 28. If you order by machine model alone and ignore the voltage spec, you’ll be making a second trip to the parts counter. Use this book to get the right valve the first time.
When to Use This Manual Over Aftermarket
Aftermarket parts catalogs pull data from third-party databases and often collapse serial number ranges. They’ll show a “fits up to 2009” and hand you the wrong revision letter. I’ve seen it happen on a ZL 250-135 lift cylinder – aftermarket listed one part number, but the factory book (page 74) called out 51581 for the lift cylinder and 52021 for the tilt cylinder. That difference matters when you’re holding a $600 cylinder. This is the original OEM print from HIAB, scanned from the factory binder. No reprints, no condensed versions. The Automotive Industry Overview Automotive Industry Overview is worth reading if you want to understand why OEM docs are the standard. But for your workbench, this catalog is the standard.
Platform and Cylinder Coverage
Chapters 4.1 through 4.3 cover steel and aluminum platforms, including conical and flat laser-cut versions with specific SN cutoffs. The lift cylinder (51581) and tilt cylinder (52021) are on pages 74 and 76. If your ZL 250-135 has an aluminum platform with a flat 40mm laser S, the part number for SN up to 177043 is PLZ0430; from 177044 it’s PLZ0430a. Same platform, different revision – and the catalog tells you exactly.

Automotive Industry Overview Automotive Industry Overview is a broader context, but for your ZL 250-135, this 100-page factory parts catalog is all you need.
- Does this catalog include torque specs or repair procedures?
- No. This is a spare-parts catalog only. It lists part numbers, serial number ranges, and exploded views. For repairs you need the separate service manual.
- How do I know which valve system revision my crane has?
- Look at the machine’s serial number plate. The catalog breaks down every revision by serial number range. For example, if your serial is 185000, you’re in Chapter 6.5.4 (SN 179586–195311) and need the 32564c valve system. Cross-check the voltage before ordering.

Great workshop guide. It is easily zoomable on my tablet without blur. It assisted me to repair my HIAB ZL engine. Saves me so much time.

Great buy! The text is searchable and well indexed. Contains precise bolt torque specs for HIAB. I will definitely buy again.
