Genie S-80, S-85 2012 Parts Catalog – OEM Factory Manual

Genie S-80 and S-85 2012 Parts Catalog – factory parts manual cover showing model and serial number info

Mike Callahan here. 28 years turning wrenches, and I’ve seen more aftermarket parts catalogs that are wrong than I’ve seen broken bolts. If you’re working on a Genie S-80, S-85 2012 Parts Catalog for a machine in the serial number range 3082 to 7999, this is the one you want. Not a reprint. Not a third-party scan. This is the actual Genie Parts Manual, Part No. 77810, Rev E18, April 2012, with 258 pages of factory-correct part breakdowns. You don’t guess part numbers in this trade. You get the right document or you waste a week on backorders.

Serial Number Range: Which Manual Fits Your Machine

This manual covers S-80 and S-85 machines with serial numbers from 3082 to 7999. It’s not universal. Genie issued four separate parts manuals for these models depending on the serial number break. Page 3 of the manual shows the serial number decoding chart: S8006-12345 means model year 2008, manufacture date 07/05/08. If your machine’s serial number falls outside 3082-7999, you need a different revision. Check the serial number stamped on the chassis before you buy anything.

For the record, there’s also a version covering SN 8000 and up, and earlier runs. Genie S-80 S-85 2014 Parts Catalog covers later production. Get the right range or you’ll be ordering parts that don’t fit.

Decals with Words and Symbols – Page 10 and Beyond

Section 100 of the manual covers decals. You’d think decals are simple, but OEM part numbers for warning labels and control placards are model-specific. A decal from a 2005 S-80 may not have the same ANSI compliance info as a 2012. This manual lists every decal with words (section 101.1) and symbols (102.1) with exact Genie part numbers. When you’re doing a safety inspection and a label is faded, you pull the number from this document and order it. No guessing.

How to Order Parts – Fax Form Included

Page 8 covers ordering instructions. Page 9 has the service parts fax order form. You fill in your serial number, the part number from the manual, quantity, and send it to your dealer. Genie’s contact info is in the front: email awp.techpub@terex.com, or check their Parts Lookup System at genielift.com. This isn’t a generic parts list. It’s the official procedure Genie uses.

I’ve had guys ask me why they need a fax form in 2024. Because not every dealer sends parts over the web, and if you don’t have the exact part number from the manual, they’ll send you the wrong thing. Use the form.

258 Pages of Factory Parts Breakdowns

You get exploded-view diagrams for every major assembly: platform components, boom sections, turntable, chassis, hydraulic system, electrical, and engine. Each figure has a corresponding parts list with item numbers, descriptions, and Genie part numbers. Page 4 says the manual is updated frequently, and you can access new figures from the Genie website. But the printed revision E18 is what you need for machines built between 2010 and 2012 roughly. Genie S-80, S-85 2012 Parts Catalog – OEM Factory Specs is the same document if you want the digital version.

Why OEM Documentation Beats Aftermarket Every Time

Aftermarket catalogs often re-number parts or skip revision notes. Genie’s manual tells you which revision of a part works with which serial number. For example, if you need a platform control box cover, the manual will list the specific part number and any superseding information. I’ve caught aftermarket catalogs listing the wrong hydraulic filter for the S-85. That’s a $200 mistake if you install it and it blows a seal. Stick with factory.

If you want a broader view of the industry, the Automotive Industry Overview is relevant context, but for parts, use the manual.

3 Common Questions About This Parts Catalog

Does this manual include part numbers for all S-80 and S-85 components?
Yes. Every section lists OEM part numbers for each component shown in the exploded views. Decals, hoses, cylinders, electrical components – it’s all there. If you need a specific torque spec or adjustment procedure, that’s in the service manual, not this parts catalog.
Can I use this manual for an S-80 built before 2005?
Not if the serial number is under 3082. Genie changed designs at serial number 966 and again at 3082. This manual only covers 3082 to 7999. For older machines, find the appropriate prior revision.
Is the manual available in PDF?
The digital version is exactly what you see here. 258 pages, bookmarked, printable. You access it and reference it on your tablet or print the page you need for the shop floor.
What if I need to order a part that’s discontinued?
Genie sometimes supersedes parts. The manual includes cross-references in later revisions. If you have this 2012 revision, check the Genie website for any service bulletins on superseded parts. The contact info is on page 2.

Bottom line: if you’re maintaining or repairing Genie S-80 and S-85 boom lifts from the 2012 era, get the factory parts catalog. It’s 258 pages of the only part numbers you should trust. Genie S-80 S-80X S-85 2012 Parts Catalog is the same manual if you need it for the S-80X variant.
