GEHL 8280, 8285, 8330, 8335 Parts Catalog – Factory OEM Manual

GEHL 8335 Mixer Feeder Parts Catalog – 66 pages – OEM factory parts manual

You’ve got a mixer feeder down and you need parts. The internet is full of cross-references that are wrong. I’ve been there. You order a seal kit based on a sketchy aftermarket list, and it doesn’t fit. That costs you time and money. The GEHL 8280, 8285, 8330, 8335 Parts Catalog is the factory document. It tells you exactly which part number goes where. No guesswork. This is the same 66-page PDF that the GEHL dealer uses to pull parts from the bin. Every exploded view comes from the original print – not a scanned reprint with missing lines. If you’ve ever tried to match a bolt by eye, you know the value of having the OEM callout.

This manual is 66 pages of factory specs.

Decal Locations and Fastener Abbreviations – Don’t Skip This

Page 2 lists every abbreviation you’ll see in the parts list – from CB (Carriage Bolt) to SHCS (Socket Head Cap Screw). The decal locations section (pages 2-7) shows where every warning and identification decal goes on the machine. That matters when you’re ordering replacement decals for a safety audit or rebuild. The manual also defines right and left from behind the machine facing forward, with the discharge gate on the left. Get that wrong and you’ll order mirror-image parts that don’t fit.

Augers and Auger Bearings Sections (Pages 14-15)

These two pages break down the auger assembly and bearing supports in exploded view format. Each reference number corresponds to a line in the parts list with the factory part number, description, and quantity. Some fasteners show a hexagon symbol with a torque value in foot-pounds – that’s the OEM spec for that specific bolt. Don’t rely on a generic torque chart from the internet. Use the values printed inside the back cover or noted on the page. Page 14 covers the augers themselves; page 15 covers the bearings and mounting hardware.

Standard Hardware Torque Specifications

Inside the back cover you’ll find the standard torque specs for Grade 5 and Grade B fasteners. Unless otherwise noted, all cap screws and bolts are Grade 5, cadmium or zinc plated. Hex nuts for Grade 5 are Grade B. This is not an aftermarket approximation – it’s the spec GEHL uses on the assembly line. When you’re torquing auger drive bolts or hitch fasteners, use these values. Over-torque and you strip threads; under-torque and things come loose in the field.

Accessories: Knife Kits, Paddle Kits, and More

The accessories section (pages 46-50) covers parts like the Single Valve Conversion Kit, Knife Kit, Paddle Kits, Safety Tow Chain, Ladder Kits, Battery Box, Magnet Assembly, and 3-Point Scale Stand. Each accessory has its own exploded view and part number list. If you’re adding a knife kit to your 8335, the manual shows every bracket, bolt, and blade required. No hunting for missing hardware.

Why This OEM Parts Catalog Beats Aftermarket Copies

I’ve seen aftermarket reprints that claim to be “factory” but they’re photocopies of photocopies. The line art gets blurry, the part numbers become unreadable, and the torque hexagons disappear. This PDF comes from the original GEHL file. The exploded views are crisp. The abbreviations are legible. The 66 pages cover every section from Hitch, Axle & Weighbars (pages 8-11) through the Numerical Index (pages 57-62). You get the complete parts breakdown for the 8280, 8285, 8330, and 8335 models. No missing pages, no illegible callouts.

What is the difference between a Parts Catalog and a Service Manual?
A Parts Catalog lists every factory part number and shows where it goes; a Service Manual tells you how to install and repair the parts.
How do I identify my mixer feeder model and serial number?
From page 2 of this manual: The model and serial number plate is on the left side of the main frame, behind the machine facing direction of travel. Right and left are determined from behind facing forward. The discharge gate is on the left side. Always confirm your serial number before ordering parts because GEHL may have made running changes – the manual notes that the company reserves the right to make design changes without updating previously delivered units. Ordering the wrong revision part can cause fitment issues, so use the plate on the frame, not the one on the engine.

This is the manual your dealership uses. Access the Factory Manual and get back to wrenching.
