Description

FIAT Kobelco SK200, SK210 Workshop Manual – Electrical System

FIAT Kobelco SK200 Workshop Manual cover showing electric system diagram

If you are chasing an electrical gremlin on a FIAT Kobelco SK200, SK210 Workshop Manual covers only one thing: the wire. No engine mechanicals, no hydraulic circuits – just the factory electrical documentation from Kobelco Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. You get 27 pages of circuit diagrams, harness connection drawings, and component part numbers. That is it. And for a shop that sees these machines, that is exactly what you need when the controller drops communication or the boom harness shorts out.

Electric Circuit Diagram (Asia, Oceania) – Page 1

The manual opens with a full-color wiring diagram split by region: Asia/Oceania and KCME. Page 1 shows the main power distribution, key switch circuits, mechatro controller pins, sensor inputs (bucket dig, boom up, arm in, swing, travel), and governor motor connections. The diagram uses Kobelco’s own wire color codes – not the generic aftermarket crap. If you have a machine with serial number YN10-38001 or YQ10-05501, this is the exact schematic you need.

Harness Connection Drawing: KCME vs. Asia/Oceania – Pages 12–13

Two different harness layouts exist depending on where the machine was sold. Page 12 covers Asia/Oceania; page 13 covers KCME. The differences are in the light circuits, optional work light wiring, and the air conditioner heater connections. I have seen techs grab the wrong harness diagram and blow a controller. Do not be that guy. Match your machine region before you start tracing.

Controller Assy (Page 16) – Mechatro Controller Pinout

This section – starting on page 16 – gives you the full pin assignment for the mechatro controller. You get voltage reference pins (5V), sensor ground, accelerator potentiometer input, pressure sensor, and the four solenoid driver outputs. Page 16 also includes the internal relay layout for the auto-idle stop relay and glow relay. When the controller fails to communicate, this is where you start checking supply voltages and ground continuity.

Instrument Panel Assy – Page 25

Page 25 covers the gauge cluster and power window switch circuitry. The manual lists each connector pin, wire color, and destination. If the operator says the gauges drop out intermittently, you trace the power window backup circuit and the room lamp/tuner backup feed. I have fixed three machines by finding a corroded connector on the instrument panel harness – something a generic manual would never detail.

Boom Harness Assy and Fuel Pump Assy – Pages 55–56

Towards the back, pages 55 and 56 show the boom harness (sensor wires for bucket and arm position) and the fuel pump assembly circuit. The fuel pump wiring includes the governor motor and the post-heating relay. Do not guess which wire powers the fuel shutoff solenoid – this manual tells you exactly which pin on the controller drives it.

Who Needs This Manual?

If you own a SK200 or SK210 backhoe loader and you are doing your own electrical work, this PDF saves you from buying aftermarket diagrams that are wrong. It is also for the shop that sees multiple Kobelco machines and needs a quick reference for harness routing. The manual is only 27 pages – printed double-sided it fits in a service truck binder. I keep a copy by the oscilloscope.

Source Authenticity – OEM Kobelco vs. Aftermarket

This is a factory Kobelco shop manual, book code S5YN2317E. Aftermarket wiring books often combine multiple brands and lose detail. You will not find the KCME-specific harness variant in a Chilton or Haynes. The document is scanned from the original 2004 print run, so the diagrams are sharp. For more comprehensive coverage that includes engine and hydraulics, check the related manuals below.

FAQ

Does this manual include engine mechanical specs?
No. This is strictly the electrical system manual. You need the full workshop manual for torque values or cylinder head procedures.
Can I use this to diagnose a no-start condition?
Yes, if the root cause is electrical. The circuit diagram on page 1 shows the key switch, starter relay, and battery connections. Trace the 60A battery fuse, the 50A main fuse, and the key switch output to the mechatro controller. If the controller does not see key-on voltage (pin 12-3), the engine will not crank. The manual also includes the glow relay circuit and the stop relay – both critical for starting. For mechanical issues like low compression, you need a different manual.

Stop buying generic rewrites. Access the Factory Manual now – you get the actual Kobelco wiring diagrams, not a translation from Chinese.
