Description

Fiat-Allis 750 Parts Catalog

You own a Fiat-Allis 750 that needs a transmission seal or a final drive bearing. You hit up the local parts house and get a cross-reference that looks close but not exact. Then you bolt it in and it leaks because the bore diameter is off by 0.5mm. That’s money down the drain and a do-over that costs you a Saturday. I’ve seen it happen more times than I can count. That’s why you don’t guess part numbers. You grab the Fiat-Allis 750 Parts Catalog – 332 pages of factory drawings and part numbers that match what came off the assembly line in Turin. This isn’t a reprint from some third-party scanner. It’s the genuine FIAT document, stamped and printed in 1970.

Ordering Parts Without Guesswork: Page 5 Rules

Page 5 lays out the ordering rules in Italian, French, German, English, and Spanish. If that doesn’t tell you this was built for global distribution, nothing will. The catalog tells you exactly how to reference a part – model, subgroup, figure number, and item position. Skip a step and the wrong part shows up. I’ve had junior techs complain that a part didn’t fit. I ask them: did you check the model list on the orange paper? Blank stare. Follow the procedure on page 5 and you cut out the returns.

332 Pages of Factory Part Numbers

Three hundred and thirty-two pages. That’s how many it takes to document every nut, bolt, gasket, seal, bearing, hose, and electrical component for the Fiat-Allis 750 series. The catalog includes the Indice dei sottogruppi (subgroup index starting page 15) and the Indice dei numeri d’ordinazione (numerical index page 25). If you need a part number and only know the old number, the numerical index gets you to the right subgroup table. That’s the kind of cross-referencing aftermarket parts catalogs usually skimp on. This one doesn’t.

Model Identification: The Orange Paper Section

Page 11 is printed on orange paper. That’s not cosmetic. FIAT uses that color to flag the model list because if you order parts for the wrong variant of the 750, you’ll get a clutch disc that doesn’t fit the spline. The model list tells you the serial number range, engine type, and transmission configuration. Before you order anything, pull the serial plate off your machine and match it to the list. Skip that step and you are guessing. Guessing costs time and money.

Subgroup Index vs. Numerical Index: Which to Use?

You have two ways into this catalog. The Indice dei sottogruppi (page 15) groups parts by system: engine, transmission, brakes, hydraulics, etc. That’s the route if you’re tearing into a specific area and want to see everything for that subsystem. The Indice dei numeri d’ordinazione (page 25) is a straight numerical list. Use it when you have a part number from the old sticker or from the FIAT plate. Both indexes point to the same figure/table pages. Pick the path that matches what you know. Neither will steer you wrong because both come from the same OEM source.

OEM Parts Catalog vs. Aftermarket: The Difference

Aftermarket parts catalogs sometimes renumber parts, combine models, or leave out the small hardware (washers, cotter pins) that you still need to buy. This manual prints the exact FIAT part number for every item. If the original part is superseded, the catalog notes it in the Modifiche section (page 1M). I’ve seen too many DIY guys buy a generic seal kit that doesn’t include the O-ring for the pressure port. Then they have to order that one O-ring separately and pay shipping twice. With the OEM catalog you see every piece. You order once, you get everything, you button it up right.

What the Catalog Does Not Cover

This is a parts catalog, not a repair manual. It won’t tell you torque values or removal sequences. For service procedures you need the corresponding shop manual. But you cannot order the right parts without this book. Think of it as the bridge between the broken part in your hand and the new part on the shelf. For context on the broader industry, see this Automotive Industry Overview. Another background resource is Automotive Industry Overview.

Can I use this catalog if I don’t read Italian?
Yes. Every heading and label appears in Italian, French, German, English, and Spanish. Page 2 explains the layout in all five languages. You don’t need to speak Italian to find a part number.
Does the catalog include the electrical wiring diagrams?
The Tabelle varie section (starting page 1T) lists cables, terminals, and insulating tubing for the electrical system. It gives part numbers for the wires and connectors but does not show routing diagrams. For that you need the wiring harness drawing, which is in the separate workshop manual.

Stop wasting time at parts counters and returns. If you work on a Fiat-Allis 750, you need the factory part numbers in your hands. Access the Factory Manual from AutoRepairManuals and start ordering the right parts the first time.
