Eaton RTO-14613 2011 Parts Catalog

Eaton RTO-14613 2011 factory illustrated parts list cover showing transmission cutaway

I’ve lost count of how many times a guy walks in with a box of parts and says “This don’t fit.” Nine times out of ten he ordered from a third-party catalog that grouped bearings and seals wrong. That’s why you want Eaton RTO-14613 2011 Parts Catalog in your hand — the factory print, not a copy of a copy. This is the same 48-page booklet my shop uses when we have a Roadranger on the stand. No shortcuts, no reprints. Just exploded views and the exact piece numbers Eaton stamped on the parts.

Auxiliary Drive Gear Breakdown

Page 4 shows the auxiliary drive gear assembly with every tooth count and bearing split out. Page 3 explains the numbering system so you don’t misread a dash number. If you need the drive gear for a deeper reduction, this section tells you which one goes with which countershaft. Anyone who tells you “just match the teeth” hasn’t dealt with the spline differences on the RTO-14613. Check the manual first.

What Does the Kits & Assemblies Section Cover?

The KITS & ASSEMBLIES section on page 20 lists every factory-sealed kit — overhaul kit, synchro kit, bearing kit. They group parts by the job, not by random listing. You want the whole kit for a main shaft rebuild? One number from that page gets you everything Eaton intends for that repair. I’ve watched guys try to piece together a kit from individual part numbers and end up with a mismatched set of snap rings. The factory printed this section because they know what happens when you skip it. If your customer is paying by the hour, the kit pays for itself in the first job.

Don’t waste time cross-referencing aftermarket numbers. The original manual lists Eaton-only part codes. You order those, you get the right parts. Period. Eaton RTLO-16618A 2010 Parts Catalog – Factory Breakdown for Truck Shops covers a similar transmission family if you’re working newer trucks, but for the RTO-14613 this is the only one you need.

48 Pages of Factory Identification

48 pages doesn’t sound like much until you realize every page is a dedicated assembly view. No fluff, no marketing — just the parts. The CONTENTS page (page 2) breaks the transmission into twenty-one sections: AUXILIARY DRIVE GEAR, CASE (AUX), CASE (FRONT), COUNTERSHAFT & BRGS(AUX), COUNTERSHAFT ASSY, FILTER REGULATOR, three variations of the H & C VALVE section, INPUT SHAFT & DRIVE GEAR, INTEGRAL OIL PUMP, ISOLATORS, KITS & ASSEMBLIES, LEVERS/HOUSINGS, MAINSHAFT & SYNCHRO(AUX), MAINSHAFT ASSY, MISCELLANEOUS, NON-SELECTIVE M/S ASSY, OIL COOLER, RANGE CYLINDER, and the range valve sections. Every line has a reference number and Eaton part code. You don’t guess, you read the number and buy it.

That’s the difference between a factory parts catalog and some reprint PDF that scanned a decade-old copy. The clarity matters when you’re staring at a blurry figure at 6:00 PM on a Friday. Eaton RT-8908LL 2006 Parts Catalog – Factory PDF Manual uses the same format — Eaton doesn’t change a winning system.

Check the Filter Regulator Before You Order Parts

FILTER REGULATOR on page 11. This is one of those sections that trips up first-time rebuilders. The filter regulator assembly on the RTO-14613 has an internal check valve and a specific service kit. If you replace the regulator without checking the part number against this catalog, you’ll get a unit that doesn’t regulate pressure correctly. I’ve seen it cause false neutral shifts. The manual identifies the separator body, the spring, the O-ring, and the filter element — each with its own part number. Automotive Industry Overview confirms that consistent pneumatic supply is critical for twin-countershaft transmissions. Don’t take a shortcut on the air side.

H & C Valve Variations: Which One Do You Have?

Three separate sections for the H & C valve: w/19470 VALVE (page 12), w/A-4688 VALVE (page 13), w/A-5000 VALVE (page 14). That’s not just because Eaton liked printing pages. Each valve has different internal ports and different repair parts. If you have an uncle who says “they’re all the same,” he’s never tried to fit a 19470 valve into a housing machined for an A-5000. Look at the tag on the valve body — the number stamped there matches exactly one of these sections. Order the corresponding parts. Eaton Roadranger RTXF Illustrated Parts List July 2011 covers a different series but shows the same attention to valve variation. The point: match the number, order the part, move on.

That’s the whole philosophy behind this manual. You don’t need a detective — you need a direct line to Eaton’s engineering. Internal Combustion Engine is a related field, but for the transmission itself, this parts catalog is your only reliable source for original part identification.

Does this catalog include torque specifications?
No — this is a parts catalog, not a service manual. Torque specs are in the Eaton service manual for RTO-14613.
How do I know which valve version my transmission has?
Look for a metal tag riveted to the range cylinder cover. It will have a number like 19470, A-4688, or A-5000. Cross that number with pages 12, 13, and 14 in this catalog. Each section shows the exact valve body, pilot valve, and cover with unique part codes. If the tag is missing or illegible, you can measure the air ports — the A-5000 has a 3/8” NPT inlet while the A-4688 uses 1/4”. But the tag is the definitive way. Replace a missing tag with the new tag from your overhaul kit — the part number for that tag is also listed in the catalog. Sucking a mismatched valve into the system will cost you a shift cylinder. Don’t skip this check.

Access the Factory Manual. That’s what I tell every tech who walks into my bay with a Roadranger question. Have the PDF on your phone, tablet, or shop computer. When you need to know whether the input shaft bearing is part number 12345 or 12346, you pull up the exploded view and you know exactly. 48 pages, factory-issued July 2011, no reprint guesswork. Get it here and stop relying on forum screenshots.
