Description
Doosan DL200, DL200TC 2006 Operators Manual

Handed a Doosan DL200 or DL200TC on your lot? Got the key but no book? That’s how parts get broken and people get hurt. This 256-page 2006 Operators Manual is the factory-issued document that tells you what every lever does, what every light means, and how not to cook the engine. If you’ve ever had a rookie open a hot radiator cap because “it looked fine,” you know why this paper matters. I’ve seen it. Don’t let it happen on your watch.
Open this thing to page 1-1 and you’re staring at the Safety chapter. Not a greeting, not a logo — straight into warnings for the Cooling fan, high temperature coolant, battery maintenance, and the accumulator. Doosan didn’t pad this. Each label has a part number — 21903315 for the cooling fan warning, 19000692 for the high temperature coolant tag. If that label peels off your machine, you look it up here and order the right one. No guessing.
The Safety chapter alone runs over 40 pages. It covers general hazard info, asbestos dust prevention, vibration limits, and the specific warnings for the Engine hood. You want to open that hood after a run? Manual says wait. It says “Do Not Work on Hot Engines or Hot Cooling or Hydraulic Systems.” That’s not a suggestion. That’s a rule written because someone got burned.
Before Starting Engine: Pre-Flight Checks
Before you even turn the key, this manual makes you run through work site precautions, checks before starting, and the engine starting sequence. It covers the accumulator pre-charge, engine ventilation, and the ether starting aid warning — never use ether on these machines. That alone has saved me from replacing a bent connecting rod on an DL200TC. Page 1-22 to 1-25 spells it out. Follow it.
Machine Operation: Stay Seated and Alert
Machine Operation covers everything from seat belt use to operating on slopes. Paragraph after paragraph about movement alarms, pinch points, and high-voltage cables. There’s a whole subsection on “Operate While Seated at Operator’s Station Only.” Sounds obvious, but I’ve seen guys lean out the window to watch the bucket. Not on a Doosan wheel loader. The manual gives you the exact procedure for parking, shutdown control functions, and why you never let anyone ride on the attachment.
Doosan DL200, DL200TC 2006 Operators Manual: What’s Inside
This isn’t a repair manual — it’s the operator and maintenance guide. That means you get the correct torque specs for fasteners (page 1-44: “Use Correct Replacement Fasteners Tightened to Proper Torque”), fluid capacities, and the maintenance intervals. You get the Operating Controls chapter starting page 2-1 with component locations, the front instrument panel, the right side switch panel, and the heater / air conditioner operation. If you need to know what that dashboard light means, you find it here. Not in some aftermarket PDF that might be for a different model year.
Cooling System: High Temperature Coolant Warnings
Cooling system on these machines runs hot — hydraulic oil, coolant, all of it. The manual dedicates a safety label to “Warnings for High Temperature Coolant” (part 19000692). It also covers the cooling fan warning (21903315). Let me be clear: you do not open that hood with the engine hot. Period. The manual says “Cool Down Is Required Before Radiator or Reservoir Checks.” I don’t care how late it is. You wait. That’s why the manual exists.
Battery Hazards: Disconnect Before Electrical Work
Battery chapter starts on page 1-46. It covers battery hazard prevention, disconnecting before electrical service or welding, and low-maintenance battery care. Doosan even includes part numbers for the battery warning labels (21902533A). If you’re welding on the frame, you pull the battery cables first. The manual states it. So do it.

- What serial numbers does this manual cover?
- Serial number 5001 and up.
- Does this manual include wiring diagrams?
- Not in this operators manual. The Operating Controls chapter shows instrument panels and switches, but for electrical service, you need the service manual. This is strictly for operation, maintenance, and safety.
- Can I use this for the DL300?
- Wrong manual. The DL300 has its own operation and maintenance manual — link above. Different machine, different specs. The DL200 and DL200TC have different dimensions, engine ratings, and safety labels. Using the wrong manual can lead to improper operation and void warranty. Always get the correct manual for your machine’s model and serial number range.
- Is this a reprint or a copy?
- Original OEM factory document from 2006. Not a third-party reproduction. You get the same PDF that a Doosan dealer would provide.
If you’re running a DL200 or DL200TC with serial number 5001 and up, you need this document on your tablet or printed in the cab. It’s the difference between a safe day and a bad one. Access the Factory Manual and get it bookmarked before you touch a control.
