I’ve seen a transmission leak because a tech reused a sealing ring without checking the torque spec. That cost four hours of labor. Four hours you could have avoided if you had this page open.

Clutch and Gearbox: Factory Procedures vs. Field Hacks

Chapter 4 is the pressure loaded clutch. Includes adjusting the clutch, disassembling the control valve, and removing the closing plate. Chapter 5 covers the gearbox – input units with mechanical reverse shuttle (5 B01), power shuttle (5 B02), and the Dynashift (5 B03). The Dynashift section has a theory of operation, parts lists, and instructions for removing and disassembling the cover, housing, front clutch and brake, plus reassembly of the planet pinion cages. That’s not something you want to guess on. Get the factory procedure.
