Description

Yale ERC 70 HD, ERC 80 HD, ERC 100 HD, ERC 120 HD 2000 Parts Catalog

I’ve been turning wrenches for 28 years. Seen plenty of guys order a brake assembly for an ERC 80 HD only to find out it doesn’t fit because their serial number fell after a production break. This Yale ERC 70 HD, ERC 80 HD, ERC 100 HD, ERC 120 HD 2000 Parts Catalog stops that nonsense cold. It’s the factory-indexed parts list, 362 pages of exploded diagrams and part numbers with serial number ranges. No guesswork.

Yale ERC 70 HD 2000 Parts Catalog cover

BRAKE ASSEMBLY 9-4: Start Here for Stopping Power

Brakes are not a place to gamble. Page 9-4 shows you the complete brake assembly diagram, including the linkage parts, backing plates, and hydraulic components. You get the OEM part numbers, not some aftermarket cross-reference. If your truck has regenerative braking, the contactor details are on page 2-40. Don’t assume your local parts house has the right pad set—verify with this catalog.

ACCUMULATOR (UP TO S/N A839V-2376) – Why Serial Numbers Matter

Yale made a production change on the accumulator assembly at serial number A839V-2376. The catalog splits the accumulator into two sections: one for trucks up to that serial number (page 9-6), and one for serial numbers A839V-2328 and up (page 9-12). If you order the wrong one, you’ll be holding a part that doesn’t mount or doesn’t have the right port configuration. That costs you time and money. This catalog eliminates that.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM (S/N A839V-2328 AND UP) – Wiring Diagrams

The electrical system pages cover SCR controls, contactor panels, and dash displays. You get two sheets of the circuit diagram starting on page 2-8. If your truck uses the Curtis 933-1 display, the wiring pinout is there. Understanding the Local Interconnect Network (LIN) protocol used in some of these controller networks can help you diagnose communication faults. The manual itself doesn’t teach LIN, but the wiring diagram gives you the signal paths.

Does This Catalog Cover Your Specific Model?

This parts catalog covers the ERC 70 HD, ERC 80 HD, ERC 100 HD, and ERC 120 HD—all electric sit-down rider cushion tire trucks with pre-SEM motor controllers (design series A839). If your lift has a different controller generation, you’ll need a later catalog. The model nomenclature breakdown on page 2 tells you exactly how to decode your truck’s model number. For example, ERC070HDN36S V084 means 7,000 lb capacity, 36V, SCR control, two-stage limited free-lift mast. You can match your truck’s serial number to the sections in this book.

Get the Correct Part Number Before You Order

I’ve watched guys waste a full day because they ordered a hydraulic pump that looked right but was for a single-pump system when their truck had a dual pump. The hydraulics section (page 7-2 for ERC 70-80 HD single pump, page 7-6 for ERC 70-120 HD dual pump) makes it clear which pump and motor configuration you have. The part numbers are Yale OEM—not generic aftermarket. That’s the difference between a bolt-on fit and a half-hour of grinding. Aftermarket parts catalogs are a gamble. This one is factory data printed by Yale in June 2000. No third-party reinterpretation.

For other Yale models, check these factory catalogs: Yale OS 030 BC SS 030 BC 1997 Parts Catalog OEM, Yale MP, MPB 040 AC 1997 Parts Catalog Factory OEM, and Eaton Yale & Towne 1700 1969 Service Manual – OEM Factory Data.

If you want to stop wasting time on wrong parts and start getting the right part numbers from the source, access the factory manual.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this parts catalog for repair procedures?
No. This is a parts catalog, not a service manual. It gives you part numbers and diagrams, not torque specs or removal steps.
My serial number is A839V-2500. Which accumulator section should I use?
Your serial number A839V-2500 falls between A839V-2328 and A839V-2376, so you need to look at both sections. The catalog has a section for ‘ACCUMULATOR (S/N A839V-2328 AND UP)’ on page 9-12, which likely supersedes the earlier design. However, the earlier section ‘ACCUMULATOR (UP TO S/N A839V-2376)’ on page 9-6 covers trucks up to A839V-2376. Since your serial number is above 2328 but below 2376, there may be an overlap. Check the part numbers in both sections—the later number is probably the correct one. If in doubt, contact your Yale dealer with the part numbers from page 9-12.
