Description

Terex PT-30 2008 Parts Catalog

You need a part for a PT-30. You order by memory, get the wrong seal, waste an afternoon. I have watched guys pull their hair out over a misrouted hydraulic hose because they trusted a third-party parts list. That is not how this shop runs. This Terex PT-30 2008 Parts Catalog is the actual factory document – 24 pages, printed 9-08, part number 4010-078. Every exploded view, every part number, every footnote about serial number breaks. You get the same book the dealer counter uses.

Terex PT-30 2008 Parts Catalog cover – factory OEM document

Cab (R.O.P.S.) Assembly Serial Number Breakdown

Section 1 covers the Cab (R.O.P.S.) Assembly for serial numbers ETA 00101-Current. The manual calls out each bracket and fastener. You will find the part number for the ROPS structure itself and every bolt that holds it down. If you have a later machine past the initial run, the note at the bottom of the TOC warns you – “Current refers to machines being produced at the time this manual was printed.” Check your serial against that. Page 1-A has the full breakdown. Automotive Industry Overview is not your reference here – this is.

Hydraulic Reservoir Assembly – Part Numbers You Can Trust

Hydraulic system leaks are a fire hazard and a billing nightmare. Section 7 details the Hydraulic Reservoir Assembly. Need the tank itself? The return filter? The sight gauge? It is all there, prefixed with 380 as the manual states: “Always add the prefix 380 to part numbers listed in this manual.” No guessing. You order 380-XXXX, you get the right can. Drop the wrong number in and you earn a trip back under the machine.

Engine Assembly – Perkins Part Numbers and Filter Specs

Perkins 140517050 for the oil filter. Donaldson P821575 for primary air, P822858 for secondary air. Those are in the General Service Items & Lubricants table on page 3. The Engine Assembly section (Section 10) gives you the exploded view of the Perkins mill itself. If you need a fan belt, the part number is 2010-117. None of this “compatible with” nonsense – these are the OEM numbers. Order direct from Perkins or Donaldson and you are covered.

Undercarriage Assembly – Left and Right Side Page Maps

Two separate sections for the undercarriage: Section 13 for RT (Right), Section 14 for LT (Left). Do not mix them up. The track frames, sprockets, idlers, and roller assemblies are broken out individually. If you have a machine with serial ETA 00101-Current, these pages apply. I have had to tell too many guys that the left side carrier roller is not interchangeable with the right side. The manual proves it on page 13-A and 14-A.

General Service Items & Lubricants – Factory Specs Only

Page 3 lists the full lubricant and filter chart. Multi-grade 10W-30 engine oil, ethylene glycol antifreeze, multi-purpose lithium grease. Part numbers for 1-gallon jugs and cases are listed. Hydraulic oil filter part number? Hydraulic oil 5-gallon jug? It is all in the Hydraulic Service Items table. If you want to keep that PT-30 running past 2000 hours, you use the factory hydraulic oil spec. No substitutes.

Who Needs This Manual?

Home garage guys who pulled a PT-30 out of a field auction. Shop owners who have three of these tracked loaders and need to keep them moving. If you are the one turning wrenches, you need the exact part number the first time to avoid restocking fees and down machines. This manual gives you that. It also tells you the serial number range your machine must fall in – ETA 00101-Current. If yours is earlier, call Terex directly.

OEM vs. Aftermarket – Why Reprints Fail

Aftermarket parts catalogs copy the exploded views but strip the serial number splits. They drop the “add prefix 380” note. They omit the ROPS safety warnings. This is the original Terex print from 2008. The PDF is a direct scan of the dealer manual. If you order from TEREX PT-30 Parts Catalog you are getting the same document that ships with a new machine. For deeper repair procedures, pair it with the TEREX PT-30 Service Manual. And if you work on older Terex/Schaeff equipment, check out the Schaeff-terex SKL 863 2003 Parts Catalog – OEM Factory Manual.

Is this manual specific to the PT-30 model?
Yes. It covers PT-30CE rubber track loader only. Part number 4010-078, printed 9-08.
What if my serial number is outside ETA 00101-Current range?
The manual states “Current refers to machines being produced at the time this manual was printed.” If your machine has a serial prefix earlier than ETA 00101, some sections may not match. Check with Terex dealer support for older revisions. However, the General Service and Lubricant section (page 3) uses standard Perkins and Donaldson filters that likely remain unchanged across production runs. For chassis parts, you will need the correct revision. The manual covers only the production range at the 2008 print date – do not assume it fits 2005 models without verification.

Do not burn a billable hour flipping through a generic binder. Get the actual factory part numbers, the correct grease type, and the serial number callouts. Automotive Industry Overview may be fine for background reading, but for ordering parts on a PT-30, you need the real document. Access the Factory Manual and put it on your tablet in the bay.
