Section 22 is where the maintenance specs live. Torque values for cylinder head bolts, main bearing cap bolts, flywheel bolts – all listed in ft-lb. Also the suspension bolt torques and wheel lug nut torque. These numbers are specific to the LJ80, LJ80V, and LJ81. Using generic metric torque values from a general chart will either strip the threads or leave a joint loose. I’ve seen both. Get the factory numbers.
