Page 53 contains the general torque specification table for fasteners on your Shibaura tractor. The 50-hour service includes torquing the wheel lug nuts, checking the Brake adjustment, and changing the Transmission fluid. This is not optional – it’s part of the warranty coverage Shibaura built into the manual. Keep the signed copy in the manual for resale value. The other copy stays with the dealer.

What do I do if the manual shows the wrong transmission fluid capacity?

Check the publication date. Shibaura updated the hydrostatic transmission fluid spec in later production runs. The manual gives the spec as of its printing – verify it against the plate on your tractor’s transmission housing. If there’s a discrepancy, contact your Shibaura dealer with the serial number. But in my experience, the figures on pages 33–35 for the ST329 and ST333 are correct – I’ve used them on a dozen tractors.
