Description

Scania T cab, 11 Litre, 12 Litre, 16 Litre 2002 Repair Manual

Scania T cab 11 Litre 12 Litre 16 Litre 2002 Repair Manual fuel system page

If you’re underneath a T cab with the 11, 12, or 16 litre engine and the fuel system is fighting you, this Scania T cab, 11 Litre, 12 Litre, 16 Litre 2002 Repair Manual belongs on your bench. Not a reprint, not a third-party compilation – this is the factory PDF from Scania CV AB, 2002, 55 pages thick. I’ve pulled enough unit injectors on these trucks to know that skipping the warning on page 3 about fuel draining into cylinders will cost you a rebuild. That warning is in there for a reason. Aftermarket manuals leave it out. This one doesn’t.

Fuel System with Unit Injector PDE and EDC MS6

The entire 03:04-01 chapter is dedicated to the fuel system. Covers every step: removing the unit injector from the T cab, fitting it, and the two adjustment tools – 99365 and 99414. You get the order of adjustment sequence on page 23. Every torque value listed is factory-sourced. Feed pump removal and inspection are in there too. If you’re swapping injectors on a 16 litre T cab, the manual shows you exactly where to position the slide hammer and which special tool board D5 item to grab. No guessing which rocker arm bolt to back off first – it tells you.

Fuel Filter: Removing on 11/12L vs 16L

Working on a T cab with different engine variants? The manual separates the fuel filter removal procedure for 11/12 litre (page 27) and 16 litre (page 30). Water separating prefilter is included. Fitting instructions list the spin-on torque and bleed sequence. You won’t find a ‘universal’ procedure here. This is per-engine, per-chassis documentation.

Bleeding and Pressure Measuring – No Shortcuts

Bleeding 11/12 litre engines is a different process than 16 litre. The manual walks through both. Measuring feed pump pressure is page 34 – you get the spec, the port location, and the overflow valve adjustment. If you chase air in the system, this section alone is worth the price. No generic diesel bleed sequence; it’s Scania-verified.

EDC Cables and Control Unit

Removing, fitting, and repairing EDC cables is covered from page 38 to 50. These cables are specific to the PDE/EDC MS6 system. Pinout details, routing, and repair methods for broken harnesses. Then the EDC control unit renewal procedure is on page 55. It tells you which fuse to pull, how to swap the unit, and the after-start check. No aftermarket manual gives you that level of detail for a T cab.

55 Pages of Factory Specs – What You’re Paying For

Total page count: 55. That’s compact. There’s no fluff, no intro about Scania’s history. It’s work instructions from start to finish. Every page has the warning symbols, tool references, and torque values you need to do the job once. I’ve used shorter manuals that missed the rocker arm shaft warning – don’t lean over the engine when removing it. This one includes that. That’s the difference between OEM and someone copying a PDF from a truck forum.

FAQ

Does this manual include torque specs for the unit injector?
Yes.
How do I adjust the unit injector without the special tools?
You don’t. The manual specifies two tools – 99365 and 99414. Page 18 covers tool 99365 adjustment, page 20 covers tool 99414. The order of adjustment on page 23 must be followed exactly. If you try a pry bar, you’ll damage the PDE control cylinder. Buy the tools or rent them – the manual tells you which tool board each lives on (D5 and D2). That’s the factory procedure, and it’s the only safe way to set the injector stroke on a 16 litre T cab.

Stop fighting aftermarket diagrams that leave out the feed pump pressure spec. You need the actual Scania document. Access the Factory Manual now and get the 55-page 2002 repair file on your device.
