Does this manual cover the GM and CD engine variants?

Can I use this manual for machines built after 1972?

This manual includes Revision 3, which updates part numbers and diagrams. However, Eaton Yale & Towne continued making design changes after printing. The manual itself states on page 3: “certain changes may be made from time to time which will not be covered in this manual.” That means you must always reference the machine serial number when ordering parts. The parts catalog is a foundation, but for late-production changes you’ll need to cross-check with the dealer. Without the serial number, neither the distributor nor the factory can confirm whether an improved part fits your specific unit.
