O&K 1900 1982 Parts Catalog

O&K 1900 1982 Parts Catalog factory original OEM manual cover

If you are wrenching on an older wheel loader, you already know the pain of chasing part numbers that don’t match. Aftermarket catalogs leave out critical details—wrong bore sizes, missing valve flanges, inaccurate pin diameters. That is why I keep the factory O&K 1900 1982 Parts Catalog on my roll cab. It is 188 pages of OEM breakdowns, not a third-party reprint. You get the exact illustrations and part numbers that the factory used when the machine left the assembly line. No guesswork, no returns.

This parts catalog covers serial numbers 19-2428 thru 19-2468 and 19-2601 & higher. That means the diagrams match your specific build date. Flip to page 106 and you will find the Brake Controls and Lines section—all the linkages, clevises, and air piping are laid out with individual callouts. Need the brake valve itself? Page 108 gives you the complete valve assembly break down, including the poppet and seat. Do not waste time cross-referencing generic hydraulic valves; the factory numbering is right there.

Wiring and electrical components are on page 48. The Alternator section shows the correct mounting brackets and pulley arrangement for the GM engine used in the 1900. Without this page, you risk ordering an alternator with the wrong clocking or output terminal location. One hour of labor saved pays for the manual twice over.

Brake Valve and Brake Assembly: Key Sections

The manual separates the Parking Brake (page 100) from the service brake controls. The parking brake assembly is a drum-type with a specific shoe and lever setup; get the part number wrong and the linkage will not engage. The Brake Head Assembly lives on page 120–121. That is the master cylinder equivalent for this loader. The reservoir cap, piston, and seals are each listed separately. Do not guess—read the page.

7 Systems Covered in This 188-Page Parts Catalog

Starting with the bucket and teeth (pages 20–25), the catalog moves through the cab, console, steering column, transmission controls, torque converter, clutch groups, axles, and hydraulic plumbing. The Accessory Hydraulic Piping section for the 3-spool valve (page 55A–55B) shows every fitting and hose length. When you are replacing a blown hose, you can order the exact factory length instead of cutting and splicing.

  • Engine and air intake system (pages 36–41)
  • Electrical: Battery, Wiring, Alternator (pages 48–50)
  • Steering cylinder and column (pages 66–69)
  • Transmission clutch groups (pages 90–95)
  • Main hydraulic control valve – 2 and 3 spool (pages 60–63C)
  • Bucket leveler and automatic hoist cut-out (pages 136–138)
  • Counterweight and axle cradle (pages 22–23)

How to Order the Correct Part Using Serial Numbers

The introduction on page 3 drives home one thing: always include the machine serial number when ordering. The manual even provides blank spaces to record engine, transmission, and axle serial numbers. That is not a suggestion—it is a requirement because O&K changed components during the production run. The book covers two distinct serial number ranges; if you skip this step, you could receive a brake valve that does not bolt up. I have seen it happen.

Why OEM Documentation Beats Aftermarket

Aftermarket parts catalogs often omit revision updates. This manual includes Revision 1 (indicated on the title page). That means the torque converter section and the clutch group pages were corrected after initial release. You will not get those updates from a copy. The original 1982 printing is the only source that matches the production drawings. The Automotive Industry Overview on Wikipedia gives background on loader applications, but when ordering metal, stick to factory data. Also reference the Automotive Industry Overview”>Automotive Industry Overview for general industry context.

Does this parts catalog cover the entire machine?
Yes. From the accelerator pedal (page 36) to the automatic hoist cut-out (page 138), every major system is included.
How do I identify the correct part number if the old part has no stamp?
The manual requires you to locate the system in the index, match the illustration to your machine, and then cross-reference the serial number range. For example, the Bucket Cylinder Assembly is shown on page 58 with multiple seal kits. If your cylinder has a different gland nut, the illustration shows both versions—but you must verify which one matches your serial number 19-2428 thru 19-2468 or 19-2601 & higher. Without the serial number, you risk ordering the wrong packing kit. Measure the rod diameter and compare to the callout dimensions printed in the notes column. The parts list does not include every dimension, but the illustration scale and the part number history help narrow it down. If you are still unsure, call the dealer with the serial number and the page reference. That procedure has saved me from ordering wrong parts on three different loaders.

The only way to guarantee you are holding the correct parts breakdown for your O&K 1900 is to use the factory manual. Access the Factory Manual from AutoRepairManuals and keep it on your tablet or printed in the cab. One correct order pays for the rest of your projects.
