Timing Belt Procedure – SOHC vs DOHC (Two Different Worlds)

FAQ

Does this manual cover the 4G61, 4G63, and 4G64 engines from other years?

This specific 108-page document is for the 1992 model year only. Some specs (like crank end-play) carry over to early 93, but the fuel/emission control parts section (page 46) changed significantly in 1994. Buy the right year.

Are the wiring diagrams included?

Yes, but only for the generator and ignition systems – SOHC on page 23, DOHC on page 26. Full engine harness routings are in the separate wiring diagram manual. This is a mechanical technical manual, not an electrical service manual.

Can I use this for a 4G64 in a 1994 Mitsubishi Expo?

No. The 1992 manual does not cover the later EGR system changes. You will get a check engine light. Get the 1994 manual instead.
