Description
Michigan 275A Parts Catalog

Every time I see a tech reach for a third-party parts list on a 275A, I know they are about to waste a half hour chasing wrong numbers. The Michigan 275A Parts Catalog from the factory is the only source I trust. 192 pages of exploded diagrams, indexed by system – from the Brake Assembly to the Cylinder groups. No guessing what bolt goes where. The index alone runs from Accelerator Pedal and Linkage all the way to Decals – that is real coverage.
192 Pages of Factory Exploded Views
This is a parts manual, not a service manual. You get the exact part number for every component on the machine. Need the Bucket Cylinder Assembly? Page 137 shows it broken down. The Boom Cylinder Assembly? Page 136. Each page gives you the OEM part number and the quantity required. The manual covers serial numbers: CUMMINS – 2JC101 thru 2JC999, 3JC101 thru 3JC999; G.M. – 2JG101 thru 2JG999, 3JG101 thru 3JG999, 4JG101 thru 4JG999, 5JG101 thru 5JG999. That’s a range of about six years of production. If your machine falls in that window, this catalog is the correct one.
Brake System and Air Chambers
Brake assemblies are on page 94 – front and rear. The Parking Brake Assembly is on page 95. Brake Controls page 97. Air chambers front and rear are listed separately: front on pages 79, 81; rear on pages 85, 87. If you are rebuilding a brake system, you need those pages to cross-reference the diaphragms, springs, and push rods. The catalog also includes brake air lines (pages 99, 101) and the air reservoir. Do not use aftermarket catalogs – I have seen too many mismatched port fittings. Stick with the factory numbers.
Cylinder Assemblies and Hydraulic Systems
The Cylinder entries cover boom (page 136), bucket (page 137), and steering cylinder (page 102). The hydraulic systems are grouped by function: bucket and boom hydraulic system (pages 123, 125, 127), bucket leveling system (pages 130-134), and steering system (pages 109, 111, 112, 115, 117). Each section includes the pump and valve assemblies. For example, the Bucket and Boom Hydraulic Pump is on pages 128-129; the Steering Pump on pages 118-121. If you need a seal kit, you find the pump model number and then order the correct kit – no guesswork.
What This Manual Does NOT Cover
This is a parts catalog, not a repair manual. It gives you part numbers, exploded views, and quantities. It does not contain torque specs or step-by-step removal instructions. For repair procedures, you need the corresponding Michigan 275A Service Manual (available separately). Do not expect wiring diagrams or hydraulic test pressures here – that is a different book. But for ordering parts, this catalog is the final word.
Where This Manual Belongs on Your Shelf
If you work on a 275A more than once a year, keep this catalog near the service manual. Parts counters often pull from generic databases – they will give you a number that looks right but fits wrong. Hand them the page from this catalog and say “Part number from the factory manual.” That saves a return trip. The index includes everything from the Converter Assembly (pages 65-71) to the Fuse Block (page 169). Even the Cigarette Lighter – page 160. It is thorough.
FAQs
- Does this catalog cover the Series I 275A?
- No. It is for Series II only. The serial number range is listed on page 1 – check your machine serial before buying.
- Can I use this to order parts for a 275A with a GM engine?
- Yes. The manual covers both Cummins and G.M. engine installations. The engine and accessories section starts on page 1. The part numbers for engine mounting, exhaust, and fuel lines are included.
- Are hydraulic cylinder seal kits listed by part number?
- Each cylinder assembly page (boom, bucket, steering) shows the component breakdown. The seals are part of the cylinder assembly; you will see the individual seal kit part number in the explosion. For example, the bucket cylinder on page 137 lists the rod seal and piston seal part numbers separately.
- What about the brake parts – are the air chambers included?
- Front and rear air chambers are shown on pages 79-81 and 85-87 respectively. The diaphragms, return springs, and push rods are all listed. The brake air lines are on pages 99-101. You can order the complete chamber assembly or individual components.
Do not waste time flipping through aftermarket indexes that skip half the machine. Get the factory documentation that matches your machine serial. Access the Factory Manual now and keep it on your tablet or printed in the shop.
