If you’re not familiar with the internal components of a Manual Transmission, this supplement won’t teach you that – but the servicing section gives you the disassembly steps for the SU-specific gearbox. You need both.

This is a supplement. It assumes you have the main M4900, M5700 workshop manual. If you don’t own that, you’re missing half the information. The supplement lists only the differences – clutch, transmission, and electrical system changes specific to the SU variant. Without the base manual, you won’t have the general servicing procedures, torque values for common fasteners, or the disassembly instructions for the engine and hydraulics.
