Description

Isuzu Q Series 2011 Workshop Manual

If you’re pulling a cab off a 2011 Isuzu Q Series and guessing the torque on the mounting bolts, you’re asking for a leak or a broken bracket. I’ve seen it happen. Aftermarket manuals copy typos and skip half the fasteners. This Isuzu Q Series 2011 Workshop Manual is the factory print – 84 pages of what the line techs used in Japan. The copy I have shows the exact N·m and lb-ft for every bolt in the FRAME AND CAB section. Page 4 has the fixing torque for the front bumper, instrument panel brackets, and pedal mounts. No guesswork, no “call your dealer” nonsense. You get the spec, you torque it, you move on.

2011 Isuzu Q Series Factory Workshop Manual cover - Frame and Cab section

Fixing Torque: Page 4 Has the Numbers You Need

The SERVICE INFORMATION section starts with FIXING TORQUE. Front bumper fixing bolts: 40 N·m (30 lb-ft). Clutch pedal brackets: 37 N·m (27 lb-ft). Brake pedal brackets: 42 N·m (31 lb-ft). Steering column brackets: 20 N·m (14 lb-ft). That’s printed right there on page 4 of the manual. If you’re using a generic torque chart from the web, you’re flying blind. This manual gives you the factory spec for the Q Series specifically – not a generic Isuzu number.

Cab Mounting: Front and Rear Procedures

The CAB MOUNTING chapter covers Front Mounting, Rear Mounting (models with and without rubber bushings), Cab Stay, Cab Lock Assembly, and full Removal and Installation of Cab Assembly. If you’ve ever tried to drop a cab without the factory sequence, you know how easy it is to pinch a wire or strip a bushing. The manual prints the steps in order, with the required tool list upfront. No “reverse of removal” shortcuts. You get the real sequence.

Door Assembly Without Guesswork

The DOOR section goes through Front Door Assembly, Front Door Trim Pad, Front Pillar Garnish, Door Window Glass, Regulator and Glass Run, Door Lock Assembly, and Door Outside Handle and Door Lock Cylinder. Each subsection lists the fasteners and torque values. I’ve had to re-adjust door locks on trucks where a previous tech used an aftermarket manual that said “tighten securely.” That’s worthless. This manual says exactly how much to tighten each bolt.

Who Needs This Manual and Why

DIY mechanics and home garage guys working on a 2011 Isuzu Q Series box truck or cab-chassis. If you’re replacing a windshield, swapping a front bumper, or pulling the instrument panel to fix a wiring issue, you need the factory trim removal sequence. The manual also covers BODY PANEL SEALING, MELTING SHEET STICKING POSITIONS, and SILENCER MAT SETTING POSITIONS. That’s the kind of detail aftermarket shops leave out. Shop owners – give this to your techs so they don’t waste billable hours figuring out where the silencer mat goes.

OEM vs Aftermarket Documentation

I’ll say it straight: aftermarket manuals are a gamble. The one you bought for $15 might have the right engine torque but the wrong cab bolt spec. This is a direct scan of the OEM Isuzu 2011 workshop manual. The PDF has the original page numbers, the original Japanese drawings, and the original bookmark structure. You’re not getting a reprint with missing sections. The table of contents lists every subsection from FRONT BUMPER to CAB LOCK ASSEMBLY to BODY PANEL ASSEMBLY SPECIFICATIONS. If you need to know the exact torque for the front bumper, it’s on page 4. If you need the cab mounting sequence, it’s in the CAB AND FRAME section.

FAQ

Does this manual include wiring diagrams?
No. This is the FRAME AND CAB volume only. Wiring is in the CAB AND CHASSIS ELECTRICAL manual (sold separately).
Can I use this manual for a 2012 Isuzu Q Series?
You could, but torque specs and cab mount designs changed between model years. The 2011 manual is specific to that year. Using it on a 2012 may give you wrong fastener values, especially on the rear mounting bushings. I’d get the 2012 manual to be safe. The 84 pages here cover only 2011MY.

Access the Factory Manual. Stop guessing and start torquing the right numbers. Your cab, your brakes, and your knuckles will thank you.
