Description

Genie GTH-636 2017 Parts Catalog

If you’re ordering parts for a Genie GTH-636 telehandler and you don’t have the factory parts catalog, you’re wasting time and risking wrong parts. I’ve seen too many guys order a seal kit based on a generic cross-reference and end up with a machine down for a week. This Genie GTH-636 2017 Parts Catalog is the original OEM document – 166 pages of nothing but genuine part numbers, exploded views, and the exact assembly breakdowns Genie uses at the factory. It’s not a reprint. It’s the PDF from Terex.

Serial Number Range – Read This First

On page 3 of this catalog, you’ll find the exact method for reading your serial number. The catalog covers serial numbers from GTH0606A-8418 to GTH0610A-13771. If your machine falls outside that range, get the right manual. Don’t assume. The serial number is stamped on the chassis and also on a label inside the cab side. I’ve had guys pull a number off the hydraulic tank and wonder why the cylinder rebuild didn’t match. Page 3 shows you where to look.

166 Pages of Genuine Part Numbers

This isn’t a condensed aftermarket list. It’s the full factory Parts Catalog with 166 pages. You get the decal breakdown starting on page 10, the parts stocking list on page 7, and the fax order form on pages 8-9. Every figure is linked – click on any page number in the electronic version to jump to the exploded view. That saves digging through paper when you’re elbows-deep in a repair.

Decals Section – Why It’s Critical

The decal section (starting page 10) is not just stickers. If you’re replacing a decal on the boom or the outrigger controls, the wrong one could mislead an operator. The catalog lists the exact part numbers for each decal view. Don’t guess. Use the factory listing. A misplaced warning decal can create a liability I’d rather not explain to OSHA.

Parts Ordering Procedure – Use the Fax Form

Page 8 explains how to order parts. There’s a sample fax order form on page 9. Fill it out with the part number from this catalog, your serial number, and quantity. If you call Genie without the part number, you’ll get transferred three times. I’ve done it. Save yourself the headache. Keep a copy of the fax form near the parts room.

What This Catalog Does NOT Cover

This is a Parts Catalog, not a service manual. It shows you what the parts look like and their numbers, but not how to install them. For torque specs and repair procedures, you need the service manual. Pair this with the Genie GTH Series 2007 Service Manual or the Genie GTH-644, GTH-842, GTH-844, GTH-636, GTH-1048 2007 Service Manual for the full picture. Also, note that this catalog is for 2017 revision; earlier models may need the Genie GTH-636 2006 Parts Catalog – Factory OEM Part Numbers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this to look up torque specs?
No. This is a parts catalog, not a service manual. Use the service manual for specs.
How do I know if my serial number is covered?
Check the serial number on the chassis – it’s stamped near the cab side. The catalog covers GTH0606A-8418 through GTH0610A-13771. If your number falls outside, you need a different manual. You can verify on Genie’s website using the link on page 2 of the catalog. I’ve seen machines with swapped cabs, so don’t rely on the plate alone. Look at the stamped number. That’s the one that matches the factory build sheet. A mismatch means you could end up with the wrong parts and a machine that’s not safe to operate.

Bottom line: if you’re keeping a GTH-636 running in a rental fleet or on a job site, you need the factory parts breakdown. This is the document Genie’s own parts counter uses. The Automotive Industry Overview shows how critical correct parts are for safety and uptime. Another read on the Automotive Industry Overview reinforces why aftermarket part numbers can be wrong. Access the Factory Manual and keep it on your tablet in the shop.
