It also explains orientation: left and right are determined from behind the unit facing forward. That matters when you order a part for the left gatherer frame. Do not mix them up.

Main Frame, Fender, and Drive Shield – Pages 4-11

These sections cover the structural bones of the attachment. The main frame holds everything together. The fender protects the operator from debris. The drive shield keeps the PTO shaft safe. But that is not all – inside the exploded views, you will see a number inside a hexagon symbol. That is the specific torque in foot-pounds for that exact fastener. Page 26 (Grease Lines section) might have one. Do not ignore it. Overtorquing a grease line fitting cracks the port. Undertorquing it leaks. The factory spec is there for a reason.

Use the Alphabetical and Numerical Indexes

Finding a part by name or number takes seconds. Pages 33-34 have the alphabetical index. Pages 34-36 have the numerical index sorted by part number. If you have a worn gatherer chain and need the replacement, look up “Gatherer Chains” on page 32 in the alphabetical index, or search your old part number in the numerical index.
