Description
GEHL 2130, 2160 Parts Catalog – Factory OEM Specs for Mower Conditioners
You ever order a replacement sickle section and get the wrong pitch because somebody’s aftermarket list had a typo? I have. That’s time you don’t get back. This GEHL 2130, 2160 Parts Catalog is the only way to be sure you’re pulling the right part number off the page instead of guessing from a blurry online screenshot. 36 pages of factory-issued explosions and callouts. It’s the same booklet the dealer’s parts counter uses – except now you don’t have to wait on hold.

36 Pages of Factory Part Numbers
Thirty-six pages doesn’t sound like much until you realize every page is packed with exploded diagrams, callout numbers, and the exact descriptions GEHL wrote. Page 1 gives you the “Mr. Dealer” note that tells you how to order: model number, serial number, and part description. Inside front cover has decal locations. That alone saves you from sticking a 2130 decal on a 2160 frame. The abbreviations table (Page 1) covers every fastener code – CB, PB, CS, HWHMS, HWHSTS – so you don’t order a hex flange screw when you need a carriage bolt.
What’s Inside the TOC?
Flip to the Table of Contents and you’ll see sections like Tongue & Primary Drive (pages 4-5), Frame, Header Support & Flotation (6-7), Header, Skid Shoes & Shields (8-9), PTO & U-Joint (10), U-Joint with Slip Clutch (11), Header Drive (12-13), Hay Conditioner (14-15), Sickle & Drive (16-17), Sickle & Standard Guards (18), Stub Guards – Factory Installed (19), Reel (20-21), 2130 Windrow Forming Shields (22-23), 2160 Windrow Forming Shields (24-25), Wheels & Hubs (26), Gearbox (27), and Options & Accessories (28-31). Each section breaks out the part numbers so you can order exactly what broke, not what you think broke.
Decal Locations and Hardware Abbreviations
Ever had a decal peel off and you can’t read the warning? Decal locations are mapped on pages 2-3. That’s your reference for ordering replacements. The hardware abbreviations list in the front is critical: GEHL calls out Grade 5 cap screws unless otherwise specified, and they tell you the thread grades. If you skip that table and order a Grade 2 bolt for a flotation spring mount, you’re asking for a failure. Use the chart.
OEM vs Aftermarket: Why the Factory Catalog Wins
I’ve seen aftermarket catalogs list a 2160 stub guard with the wrong bolt hole spacing. That’s not a part you can drill out – it’s stamped. The factory catalog on page 19 gives you the correct stub guard callout for factory-installed units. Page 18 covers standard guards. When you hand that page to the parts guy, you get the right box. For more on how GEHL designs these components, read this Wikipedia article on diesel engines – but the parts catalog is where the actual numbers live. this Wikipedia article on diesel engines gives context, but won’t help you order a U-joint with slip clutch (page 11).
Order Parts the Right Way – With Factory Numbers
When you’re standing in front of a 2130 with a broken reel bat, you don’t want to scroll through forum posts. Open page 20-21, find the reel section, read the callout for the bat kit (Extra Reel Bat Kits are listed on page 28 under Options & Accessories). Get the number, call the dealer, done. The catalog also covers wheels & hubs on page 26 and the gearbox on page 27. FAQ
- Does this catalog cover repair procedures or just parts?
- Parts only. This is a service parts manual – exploded diagrams, part numbers, quantities, and descriptions. For overhaul procedures you need the shop manual. For ordering the correct part, this is it.
- Can I use this catalog for a 2160 model that has field-installed stub-on-stub guards?
- Yes. Page 30 covers the Stub-on-Stub Guard Kit (Field Installed). The catalog distinguishes between factory-installed stub guards (page 19) and field-installed kits, so you order the right mounting hardware. GEHL also includes notes about when a part is for original assembly only – read those notes. A hardware callout for mounting is not included when you order the replacement part. Page 1 tells you that.
