Page 12 gives the specific caution for vehicles with SRS air bags and discharge headlights. First, wire colors. Factory color codes are printed on every diagram – a blue wire with a red tracer means one thing, and aftermarket books often use generic colors. Second, connector views. Two pages you will use constantly. Page 5 – Ground Points. It lists every ground in the vehicle: G101 under the left front fender, G201 below the dash, G301 at the rear quarter. Each one has a torque spec for the bolt. Page 24 – Common Connector List. Forty-two connectors with Ford part numbers, cavity counts, and cavity identification. If you are diagnosing a no-start and need to know which pin on the PCM connector is the crank position sensor input, you find connector C175t in the list, then cross-reference to the schematic. How the System Index Saves You Time

System Index (page 3) lists every circuit by two-digit section ID matching the Workshop Manual. Cooling System (12), Fuel System (14), Cruise Control (20). Need the 4WD control circuit? If a customer complains that the driver door won’t unlock with the fob, you need the power door lock schematic with correct diode and relay locations. Generic diagrams omit the diode orientation. This manual does not.

Skip the aftermarket junk. Real Ford wiring diagrams come from Ford Motor Company – not a third-party scan.
