That’s the kind of cross-reference that saves you time when you’ve got a bucket of bolts left over and you’re not sure which hole they came from. For a 1280 DT with a turbo, the part numbers for the exhaust manifold gasket will be listed under the engine group – not mixed in with the standard 1280. That lets you source an equivalent from a bearing supplier – but cross-check the part number against the plate drawing first. Never trust an aftermarket catalog that says “fits 1280” without checking the factory code. I’ve seen hydraulic hose kits sold as “direct fit” that were six inches too short. The factory catalog gives you the length code. Use it.

Modifications Tables – Page 1M Updates

Page 1M starts the modification tables. Fiat Trattori issued these to correct oversights or improve parts. If the catalog says “see modification table 3,” you need to check that table before ordering. A common example: the steering clutch release bearing was updated in 1985. The 1984 catalog already includes the preliminary notice for that change – so even though your manual is 1984, the mod table points to the correct superseded part. That is something a generic parts list will never do. They’ll list the old part and leave you to discover the mismatch when the bearing doesn’t seat.

What This Catalog Does NOT Cover

Let’s be clear: this is a parts catalog, not a service manual. It will not tell you torque specs for the cylinder head bolts. It will not walk you through a transmission rebuild.
