Description

Daewoo Solar 030 PLUS, Solar 035 2001 Service Manual – Factory Specs You Can Trust

Daewoo Solar 030 PLUS, Solar 035 2001 Service Manual – 143 pages of the actual manual Daewoo issued to its dealers. If you’re working on either of these excavators, you need pressure specs from section 5, not some aftermarket guess. I’ve spent enough years bending wrenches to know that one wrong torque on a swing motor (section 8) will cost you a seal set and a day. This manual lands on your bench, not in a PDF folder you’ll ignore.

Engine and Hydraulic Specs – Section 4 and 5

Section 4 covers the Isuzu 3LD1 engine – both models share it. You get the performance curve and rpm standards. Section 5 dives into the main pump: removal, installation, and a pump performance test procedure. Page 50 starts the pump section. Don’t attempt a pump rebuild without the construction diagrams on page 52 – the aftermarket manuals leave out the shim stack order. This one doesn’t.

n

Control Valve Disassembly – Section 7

Section 7 gives you specs, construction views, and a step-by-step disassembly and reassembly order. There’s a caution subsection – “Cautions when Handling” – that talks about spool alignment and seal orientation. I’ve seen a tech ruin a control valve body because he didn’t know the valve spools must be installed dry. That’s the kind of detail you get here. Page 63 starts it, but the torque values for the valve body bolts are in the maintenance standards table on page 69.

n

Travel Motor Maintenance – Section 9

The travel motor section (page 85) includes principles of operation, inspection and adjustment specs, and a running speed table. If your Solar 035 is dragging one track, you need the brake release pressure from section 9.4. The care subsection (9.4) lists the points for contamination control – stuff that matters when you’re working in a muddy lot. For related factory manuals, check the Daewoo Musso Service Manual – Factory OEM Specs for 1465-Page Workbench if you also work on Daewoo wheeled equipment.

n

Safety Section – Page 1 – Don’t Skip

Section 1 covers safety information, safe operation, and location of safety labels. It’s not filler – the manual explicitly states that operation outside these instructions is the operator’s responsibility. I’ve got a rule: if you don’t read the safety section, you don’t touch the machine. This manual includes a message from Daewoo to operators. It also tells you where the model and serial number plate is located – front part of the main frame. That matters when ordering parts.

n

Why OEM Documentation – Not Aftermarket Copies

Aftermarket manuals often reprint specs from a photocopier that bleeds the numbers. This is an original factory file – the PDF scan preserves every torque value, every grease point location (section 2.6), and every hydraulic line diagram (section 2.9). Page numbers match the printed manual. You can go straight to the crawler section (section 14) – page 118 – for track roller maintenance standards. The idler section (15) covers disassembly and spring specs. You won’t find that in a generic guide. For another excavator manual from the same year, see Daewoo 470LC-V 2001 Service Manual – Factory Specs for Excavator Maintenance.

n

Working Attachments and Hydraulics – Sections 3, 6, 10-13

Section 3 gives inspection and correction procedures for the working attachments. The hydraulic oil filter section (6) includes a piping diagram and maintenance procedure. Swivel joint (11), joystick (12), and solenoid valve (13) each have specifications and construction details. If your Solar 030 PLUS has a sticky joystick, the principles of operation in section 12.2 will show you the pilot pressure path. For the internal combustion engine basics, refer to Internal Combustion Engine on Wikipedia – but for exact Daewoo specs, stick with this manual.

n

3 Reasons to Stick with Factory Specs

First, torque values – the manual gives them for every major joint. Second, fluid capacities – section 2.7 lists recommended oils and lubricants with viscosity grades. Third, the excavator identification number (section 2.5) helps you verify you have the right machine. If you mix up the 030 PLUS and 035 hydraulic line routing, the diagrams in section 2.9 keep you straight. For another diesel-powered machine manual, look at Daewoo 661LA, 662NA, 662LA 2000 Service Manual – Factory OEM – same era, similar approach to documentation.

n

Does this manual include wiring diagrams?

n

No. This is a service manual focused on mechanical and hydraulic systems – engine, pump, control valve, travel motor, and structures. Electrical schematics are not in the 143 pages.

n

What about the manual transmission on the Solar 035?

n

The Solar 035 uses a hydrostatic drive – no manual transmission. For understanding manual transmissions in general, see Manual Transmission on Wikipedia. But for this excavator, you need the travel motor section (9) and the hydraulic pump section (5).

n

Can I access this manual immediately?

n

Yes. It’s a digital file – you get the PDF after purchase. 143 pages, bookmarks, searchable text.

n

What if I need specs for a different Daewoo model?

n

Check the related manuals above – we stock factory manuals for several Daewoo excavator and vehicle models. If you don’t see yours, contact support.

You’ve got a Daewoo Solar 030 PLUS or Solar 035 that needs work. The specs aren’t in your head – they’re in this manual. Don’t trust a third-party reprint that swapped torque values. Access the Factory Manual and get the exact data Daewoo signed off on in August 2001. Your machine, your time, your safety – all on the line. This is the one reference that covers it right.
